Just realised Trusty has updated the description. I guess it is indeed a stainless steel case. That's disappointing.

The gen has that distinct titanium look, they'll never be able to replicate it by using SS.

Umm they should have made titanium case, just like gen. VSF has a lot of very good reputation in titanium case for Panerai. Maybe they are in rush.

Titanium case will take a while to manufacture. The watch was announced in December and they already have the steel cases made for the normal seamaster. Add that to the whole virus issue and the closure of factories, pretty sure that only slowed down the production of the titanium rep. This steel rep is definitely a rushed job as the factories only reopened recently. I was expecting at least Sept or Nov for the rep to be available because of the virus. Maybe the titanium rep would be available by then.

If the dial and bezel colors are correct and tis rep looks the part, I will get it as even though it's not titanium. I like a heavier watch anyway, and I don't consider the weight of a rep as a tell sine on my wrist no one else knows how heavy a watch is. If a V2 comes out with a titanium case, I'll get it as well. I don't really care about the bracelet, as I love this with a nato strap.

I ordered it on Monday so until we get it we won't really know if it's titanium, or tittytastic.....I was always going to buy this one as i love the look of it! It's a beauty whether titanium or SS.

It's not the weight FFS... The color of a titanium case is completely different, it's night and day. Plus I'm pretty sure they'll f#&k up the buckle on the mesh bracelet.

Why are you so sure about that? I'd be surprised if they mess up the buckle on the mesh. Doesn't look too complicated and is pretty straightforward. It's similar to those deployant clasps you get on leather straps.
Apart from a rush job and don’t think of any other issue , as this beauty is also their product.

Yes that black ceramic titanium SMP looks amazing. I have difficulty telling it apart with gen. They even got the matte dial correct as opposed to the more glossy dial of the steel black SMP.

Yes, and unlike the other VSF SMPs the lume is a proper white. I have both and you can see the difference.
