My V2 showed up today, so frickin gorgeous. Will post photos soon.

There is absolutely no question of the brown dial and bezel insert colours. Cameras seem to hate that colour, but it is definitely there.

I still struggle to see the brown in mine, don’t get me wrong I believe it’s there, but to me it looks black in most lights especially the bezel. Don’t let the brown or no brown put you off. Trust me this watch is amazing in the flesh. The patina colouring is beautifully done also.

Just wondered your thoughts on the depth of the bezel engraving? Looks barely noticeable on the gen, slight in v2 and quite deep on v3.

The depth of the engraving on the gen and the v2 bezels are very similar—they're both really shallow.

My V1 goes brownish, or i think is a little brownish, under a warm light or with natural light but not direct light. Anyway i cant' say it is full black

I suppose so, even now the case back opens easily with your fingers, but in any case the seals are easily found and cost little.

You can buy gen for £20, or generic for £3/dozen..

No, I agree. It goes with the Bond-legend though. I.e. it being MOD issue, same with the serial number on the back.
