Looking for a black v2.2 noob 116500LN.... what dealers are you guys receiving them now using ? Have emailed a few (RWI trusted and non-trusted) but none seemed to think they could get one anytime soon. I'm aware Noob was 'taking a break' or 'on holidays' but read they were back at it, or about to resume.

Ordered June 5th just got in last week. First new batches have rolled in as they are back online.

If you ordered after the 16th of July you're in a fairly long queue. Should start to see some QC soon

Thanks for the info. I plan to keep the watch in a winder so it’s always running. People say these things come very dry from the factory so wondering if it’s better to always have it running or let it die and sit idle when it’s not being worn. I have to figure out who can even service this so it lasts a long time.

Those REP movements are usually dry w/o much or any oil.
Where isn't any oil, there can't any oil get sticky due to not wearing the watch.

It's vice versa: letting the movement running constantly (with that high friction of the dry gears) in the watch winder, will increase the abrasion in the dry movement.

Puretime is also where I got mine. They have a backlog of orders. Expect to wait.

Hi Guys...

Sorry to ask, I'm sure I'm going to annoy a few people here.
Ordered a a couple of watches from Ryan at the end of April. I had to send them back long story. So now I have decided to use the money I paid him to get a coupe of Daytona's

I decided to go for the Noob V2 Black Ceramic, link below however it's out of stock for another two weeks. I have been waiting ages for Ryan to start taking orders again. He asking me to take the ARF version instead of waiting.

ARF Version :

So my question, is it worth waiting another 2 weeks after I have waiting for nearly 6 weeks to get the Noob Version? I wanted a fully working chronograph.

I own 6 gen Rolex's...it's a fools game to get into this!

Airking, Hulk, Batman, Rootbeer, Deepsea JC, Sky Dweller BUT never have been into Daytona's...until now. So not too familiar with them.

Would appreciate some advice.

The ARF looks 'better' the noob is a better watch; working chrono, and the movement is a marvel!

It’s really up to you. After doing a lot of research on this forum, I was 100% sure that I wanted the Noob. A watch that doesn’t work like it should would annoy me. I ordered right around the Noob trouble, but was lucky enough to get one a few days ago, it’s being shipped to me now. Anyways, if you want the noob, I would suggest you wait for it, and don’t let Ryan talk you into something you don’t want.

Thanks I need to figure out where to get this serviced now for longevity OR wear the hell out of it and a buy a new one in 3 years possibly. Is there a consensus on how long this 4130 clone movement from noob could last unserviced, realistically?

Thanks.

I got the Noob. It's great. I have never seen a gen 116500 in the metal. I look at every AD I walk by and have yet to see one in stock. I can't imagine anyone sits on one when they go for $18k+ on the grey market. I am thrilled with my watch. Here are a few shots. I find it to wear smaller on the wrist but am still quite happy with it.

Not sure if this is necessary for the noob. I believe that one comes pretty well oiled and ready to go. I’m going by memory though as I don’t have one.

sorry who are?
Do not trust the unserviced 4130 movements. Mine came with rust in the gears, and lack of oil. Not having the movement cleaned and serviced will hinder the longevity.

I have serviced lots of these and it's quite the opposite, it usually comes dry, the amount of dirt and foreign objects is variable.

I have to disagree too, serviced mine when it came and indeed was dry

Where do you guys get them serviced? I don't think I'd feel comfortable walking into a watchsmith shop and handing over a replica. I have a stupid irrational fear that they will just confiscate it or call the police or something. Dumb, I know, but makes me uncomfortable nonetheless.
