I have owned the new high beat BP SD for some time now and haven't had any issues knock on wood''' The movement runs just as smooth as most ETA clones I have owned which has been a whole lot!
And I put it beside the TC I had and it was just as smooth as the old Swiss 2824 that come in the old TC Type 1. So over all this movement impresses me very much.

The only problem I have now with it is what hands I can fit on this movement and also DWO! Been collecting parts for the new high beat. Will keep you guy's posted!

Hi Luthier,

Is HangZhou made A2836?

There's no such a thing, as "hi-beat" DG-2813, as well, as there's no such a thing, as "21j".
All DG-2813 have 22 jewels (see picture).
The movement you're talking about, is, probably, DG-4813, that also has 22 stones, but 28,800bph. It's made by Guangzhou Dixmond factory. Nanning 2813 is the crappiest one, the best one come from Hangzhou Mov't Factory.

Hi Rudy, im glad your having good luck with your hibeat. I initially had high hopes for this new movement, hopefully the rest of us just got a bunch of poopy movements for a bad batch.

Your date change(quick) has no problems? That seems to be the major gripe.

Anyway as far as hardware goes, regular ETA hands will work, altho you might need to broach the hourhand hole very slightly to fit propper. The minute and seconds hands will fit perfectly

As far a DWO, regular ETA DWO will work fine as long as it dont sit up too high. You might need to shim the dial spacer a smidge with like clear scotch tape. (like on the back of the dial)

Does anyone have any experience with the non-date version of this movement? Trusty has a tudor sub with this movement and no date, and i'm wondering if that would be a bit more immune to problems, or if I'd have to worry about the hour hand getting wonky too.

I have a SOSF with one of these newbreed movements and I have it regulated within 1+/- seconds a day which is better than any of my other asian powered watches. Aside from the not so defined positions at the crown (date set/time set) this little 28k movement seems to be a nice little workhorse

I have several of these watches and can shed some light. The movement is not a DG4813 it is as of this moment of "unknown" manufacture however having seen it apart and side by side with an ETA genuine it is amazingly done, it takes cues from the 28xx series with some modifications and I think it is advertised as a 2813 because of it relative inexpensiveness but don't be out off by that in the4 watches I have with this movement from josh at perfect clones ALL OF THEM ARE SMOOTER THAN EVEN THE GENUINE ETA and reliable too... 3 of mine running 0 beat error and +\- 1 or 2 seconds. Very well made movement and a game change for Asian movements. Better IMHO than the ETA Asian clones for the money here is a picture of said movement up close for you all http://i44.tinypic.com/mr6y54.jpg

OK, here's my question. I bought an Explorer 1 from Josh back in August 2008 with what he called a high beat 2813 movement. It is 28,800vph and the sweep is identical to my Asian clone ETA movements.

The movement in mine is a dud and has a loud, free spinning rotor and I have to hand wind it. The watch won't auto wind and never did from the beginning. Josh told me just to hand wind the mofo and I'd be good. It's also running really fast.

There was a thread on Repgeek back in late 2008/early 2009 about the movement and Josh posted that it indeed was a 2813 high beat movement.

Is this movement you guys are talking about the same movement as what I purchased 5 years ago?

Could be 4813, could be this pseudo 2836 clone. Wouldn't know without seeing it.

I am in need of one of these movements. How much is a reasonable price to pay for one from a TD?

i believe the BP rolex models have an option with these movements in

They do and now I'm on the fence between a 114060 21j high beat or a 116610 2836 Asian.

Luckily that's my only tough decision today. We are truly blessed.
