Shouldn't the spacing between the 12 o'clock and the triangle be slightly larger? It seems like the triangle is now touching the minute markers.
Hmm.. I checked a photo of a Gen looks ok to me but Thanks for the feedback

Just realised my watch has a2836 movement according to hont website and was planning to buy a Gen ETA 2824 as a replacement Is this still possible?

The BP version has an Asian 2824. Check with TD as could be a copy and paste error on website if you ordered the BP

Does anyone know why the Explorer from hontwatch has a A2836 and the Explorer from intime a A2824 movement? Is there any noticeable difference?

Great, really looking forward to your review! It's strange that the Explorer from Intime is 60 bucks more expensive compared to hontwatch. The difference must come from somewhere,

there is 3132 version of 214270 on intime, only TD i found that has it, and only model with right caseback ( arf and previous BP with 316 steel has it wrong, polished around the caseback instead of brushed) Only correct one is BP 3132 904L steel model, 398 on intime i believe, correct me if im wrong

My TD have the 316 old BP version but the website says that the movement is SA3132 not 2824. Is that a typo? I’ll ask them before ordering just in case. Thanks.

That's interesting. I checked intime, but there is no Explorer BP 3132. There is however an ARF edition with the 3132 movement. I can find the BP 3132 on trustytime, but this supplier is not on the TD list. I hope intime can also provide the Explorer BP 3132 soon. Can I assume that the Explorer BP 3132 is better than the A2824, and the A2824 is better than the A2836?

Just ordered this BP dial and hands;

Might try to fit it and an ETA 2824 in my JF depending on how the dial compares. Else, I may just chop the feet and slap it on the 3132 clone.

I received a reply and I was told it is decorated to SA3132. Not sure if that is the case. I have attached a link to the listing. Can someone confirm if they can work out which one it is from the pictures? I don't care if it is 2824 or 2836. I just want an ETA clone, not a Rolex one.

https://puretime.io/oyster-perpetual...et-sa3132.html

EDIT: I am an idiot. Just realised that is an Oyster Perpetual, not an Explorer. Some miscommunication with the TD. I'll message them again.

I got the 904-version from Intime a couple of weeks ago, and I love it! If you're afraid to get called out when wearing a rep, I guess you'll be safe with this one (except if you meet some of the experts on this forum, and even they would have to get uncomfortably close to tell... ;-) ). On the wrist, the SELs look very tight and good, and the clasp requires appropriate use of force to open and close. This is my first watch with micro adjustment, and I find it genious.

The lume lasts through the night (I sleep max. 6 1/2 hours a night, and I can easily read the time in the morning), and the rehaut engravings are so small for the naked eye that I doubt anyone will notice except on close up photos. The only problem is that it runs approx. 10 seconds fast each day, but I can live with that. Honestly, I prefer that over the sh3135 movement in my jf16610, which has given me nothing but trouble.

OK, take this info for what it is, from a guy that's never owned or tried a gen 214270 on the wrist. I'm not good at noticing minor details, and I don't plan any modding, so for me this one is very good out of the box.

thanks for your review. the dial looks great and 3 o’clock marker has the right shape.

only remained concern is that the crown winding direction is opposite of genuine’s.

We all have to decide which flaws we can't accept, as there are not som many perfect reps out there, if any. The winding thing is no big deal for me, I'm more interested in a watch that works for the purpose, and looks good on the wrist. I am the only one who have ever wound any of my watches. However, if one wants it as gen-like as possible in all aspects, I can understand that's an issue.
