Yes ! So like i have replied to another member on this thread, I do not recommend to get my full build with this 1:1 movement. The movement alone cost more then the build itself.
Price of the movement is not price tag by me , I have nothing to do with the making of this 1:1 movement. Thats the amount the factory ask for. So please dont mistaken its me that is charging so high.
I understand. Was not meant as anything against you. I just think in General spending $2,000 on a movement without any gen parts is crazy, even though the work being put into this is admirable.

I do believe they will reduce the price in future. its a offer they are testing. However, in china, there are really a lot of deep pockets that are willing to buy these. So the price depends on the demand.

For the AC engraving stock movement , the engraving size should be correct. Since there are different engraving size and font even logo on gen cal240.
I sold my gen 5712 couple years ago, so I can't have a look, but I was always under the impression, that the different engravings were actually tells that the movement did come from another watch (the 240 was used all over the place), but that the 5712 had 1 version of the plates. If there are in fact different iterations (and it would not surprise me with Patek, but it would surprise me with the 5712 specifically), then ignore my comment.
Now I have to look into the font variations on the 5712 movement plates. Fuck My OCD 😂

If they drop the price for the vsf clone movement to $750-1000 they will get allot more sales .
For now the AC engraved movement is the best option I think .

I will definitely jump into one if its for $750 😂
I like it a lot to be honest, but I just hate that price tag.

Nah man, I've been in watches for way longer than I've been here. I transitioned to reps precisely because of the gen market state.
No chance of me giving up, its just my bloody brain, it demands information all the time. Its exhausting sometimes. 😂

Well as for now, i still think the AC engraving is best for the dollar. As if anyone would want to get this 1:1 movement in my builds I can do that too. And this 1:1 still need a AC pinon mod. The factory used the base ppf movement to do the modification on it. So its still stock ppf pinon

If it’s properly done timing weights on the balance an adjustment should be easily done by any well trained watchmaker. Some other infos like „72 hours of power reserve“ are hard to believe because they would need to change the mainspring as well & also it would not correspond correctly to the power reserve indicator. So maybe the timing weights are also faux (not adjustable). But I am very curious to see such developments with asian movements.

I bought the gene moon disc and barrel for the PPF clone and they won’t fit. And the power reserve was on the 48hrs mark anyway so I think that 72 is a typo

The clone 240 and 324 both dont accept gen parts. And the gen 324 is smaller then 3k 324.

Movement being sold by itself for almost 3k
If watch is included modded and with custom Dias hands and moonphase disc it’s on the almost 5k mark. For a watch that contains 0 gen parts and accepts 0 gen parts.

There’s a reason china doesn’t make free sprung watches, and it’s due to its regulation being horrendously difficult to be done. It can be ok on the table, but if it’s a tinny little bit off, it will break the wheel inside the watch on the wrist or a different angle etc.

In mho, is not worth it.
It would be a breakthrough if a factory specialises in balances for reps for sure, rlx /ap /pp /etc, just not like this. “Factory Modders” unfortunately are not the answer yet, this is clearly just a way to rip off the eager rep guys that have a very good job and too much money to spend (basically us RWI members)

On a separate note
Once someone pays it, the mark is set.

So pls if u have too much money keep it, don’t waste it and make the marker so much higher for everyone. They will drop it if no one pays the rip off.

lmao bud more than one "someone" has already paid and the mark is already set. These have been in the works for quite some time, and it's because the demand was already there and known. I almost bought in some time ago to reserve one, but decided to wait to see what problems might arise after release since these may very well be janky as fuck from a reliability perspective.
