Am I the only one thinking over $2,000 for a rep movement is INSANE?
The same is true for many items out there.Maybe they finally realized their first offer was too unreal high.
if you want a fully modded watch (thread Ctime) + this movement you are out around $4,000. For this you can get a decent mid-level gen... and you dont even have ANY genuine part on this watch.Well i mean the price is still high. But at least not unreal high. What they ask for before the offical release was unbelievable.
Let’s be realistic, if the clone movement is really free sprung balance 2k is fair, let’s confirm this.if you want a fully modded watch (thread Ctime) + this movement you are out around $4,000. For this you can get a decent mid-level gen... and you dont even have ANY genuine part on this watch.
Are you one of the investors in this project?Let’s be realistic, if the clone movement is really free sprung balance 2k is fair, let’s confirm this.
No mate, not even close to it, I have my business on other areas…Are you one of the investors in this project?
As a gen collector and aficionado I don’t think the gen movement would cost +2k if PP has to buy it… I honestly don’t think that whole thing in SS costs more than 4 or 5k to PP. Then the rest is all branding, advertising, events, cachets, etc… so yes, for me 2k is a lot of money for this rep clone movtNo mate, not even close to it, I have my business on other areas…
Just as a gen collector, as well as a rep appreciator, you see 2k as a lot of money for this? In relative terms of course.
Your point is fair but you have to add a lot of cost in the chain before telling me to be an investor in a project 10.000km away from us mate.As a gen collector and aficionado I don’t think the gen movement would cost +2k if PP has to buy it… I honestly don’t think that whole thing in SS costs more than 4 or 5k to PP. I sarcastically asked you that when I read you find fair a not more request of 2k from the factory that made this clone movt… I bet you’re the only one of the whole community who claims to be ready to pay that amount. Now I’m curious to know when will you buy itYour point is fair but you have to add a lot of cost in the chain before telling me to be an investor in a project 10.000km away from us mate.
Only relation I have here is I have bought a 5711 from AC and a 5712 now, not with this movement, but to have a free spung balance in a rep I think it is a huge step.
I think he already didI sarcastically asked you that when I read you find fair a not more request of 2k from the factory that made this clone movt… I bet you’re the only one of the whole community who claims to be ready to pay that amount. Now I’m curious to know when will you buy it

Funny thing is I did not haha.I think he already did
Yes ! So like i have replied to another member on this thread, I do not recommend to get my full build with this 1:1 movement. The movement alone cost more then the build itself.if you want a fully modded watch (thread Ctime) + this movement you are out around $4,000. For the AC engraving stock movement , the engraving size should be correct. Since there are different engraving size and font even logo on gen cal240.Awesome effort.
I’d suggest addressing the font size, it's a shame to go through all this and not nail the size and placement.
