Anybody got any advise where to look for aftermarket hands that fits the vr3235? I got the one with the stubby end minutes hand, looking to replace.

I have VSF DJ hands from a previous build along with the crystal of you are interested.

I know this is a thread on CF, but figured I’d share some side by sides with my gen. This is a GMF v2 with fluted bezel and gen xtal and gen datewheel. OOTB this GMF v2 had one of the best xtals and datewheel font and alignment was damn near perfect (pics in a different thread). had the gen parts sitting in drawer so did the swap on the rep.

Black dial is gen 126300. I have a gen WG fluted bezel on the way that I’m going to swap from smooth to fluted and if I ever need to sell the gen down the road I can swap back to smooth and it will be in pristine condition. I just think that the fluted hides micro scratches better and also looks nicer on jubilee. I was able to get the gen at a very competitive price on grey market and get a gen WG fluted bezel also at a good price and would still be less than a gen 126334 in mint/unworn condition. There was some major price dislocation between chrono24, 47th st dealers and a very well respected dealer on Long Island so I got the 126300 at a “steal” (relatively speaking that is, marked up over retail but not that bad)

Bottom line is it’s insane how good these reps are. I know the bezel on the CF v2 is very good so thought others would be interested to see GMF v2s offering compared to gen in this thread with the CF v2’s offering that others have done comparisons on.

Enjoy!

Here is the gen 126300 with gen WG bezel installed that came off of a 126334. Think CF does the best job at recreating this but GMF also excellent

Honestly at arms length very hard to tell the difference, it’s subtle. Sourcing the gen bezel was next to impossible. Easy to find ones for DJ 2, but not easy for the DJ 41. Especially in WG. RG and YG easier to find.

took your suggestion…
  1. cf acquired
  2. gen crystal aquired
  3. Gen dial aquired
  4. now looking for a gen date wheel and hands

Congrats, I'm sure you're gonna love it
my suggestion is don't overdo it from the get go. Hands and datewheel are good enough. Enjoy your build with what you have and only if you're still not happy then spend the extra money on hands and datewheel

However much money you put in it, it won't magically transform it into a gen. So make sure you're spending this money because it makes a difference to you not because somebody said so

Why didnt you wait for the VS Movement?

it will be assembled in the CF DJs within the next 4-8 weeks.

Put a VSF or Gen Crystal on the watch and its good to go
