Unfortunately my CF DJ 41mm is DOA and unrepairable according to my watchsmith. I am looking to to buy a replacement movement off of eBay. Am I correct in thinking that the movent is not a true 3235 clone and is just a 3135 decorated to look like one? Firstly, maybe ask for a second opinion from a trusted watchsmith here at RWI. Secondly, that VR 3235 movement is a kind of hybrid with 3135 as base, with at least some dial side parts replaced to accommodate 3235 datewheel etc. It should be replaced with another VR3235. Don't bother with Ebay, you will probably get it cheaper off Aliexpress, f.ex. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100....store_pc_groupList.8148356.12.3fc46c013dKMrc

Also, forgot to mention, but you should probably ask your TD if they are willing to offset some of the repair costs. I understand that it is common to get something off from the next order (store credit lol). At the very least it doesn't hurt to ask. But never send the watch back to China for repairs, that's way too risky.

Its getting time that CF will assembly those VS movements in their DJs aswell (beside the upcoming Daytonas)

Ah, all good then. Mind if I ask what the fault was that your watchsmith was not able to fix?
My Wimbledon arrived, so far happy with it. boy, its hard to get images of that dial without decent lighting, my attempt at pics below:
Took the bracelet off and gave it a good micro clean and a baby oil bath. Then after the pics were taken I realised I put the bracelet on the wrong way round, but fixed that now.

The pics on trusty's site haven't been updated to V2. You can still see its showing the old SA3235 movement and not the VR due to the movement holding ring.

Finally got my rhodium today. It's dark here so I haven't seen it in daylight yet, but so far I'm a little disappointed. The dial looks great, but the crystal not so much. I'll have to see it in the sun to make a better judgment. It seems like there is no ar.... I have a hard time even seeing the dial for the reflections. The cyclops has no edge distortion btw.
The case is nice, the movement feels nice winding, the crown screws in very smooth. The fit and finish is very nice. The clasp was rattling a little, so I bent the inner part a little more and that fixed it.
I bought both bracelets for it. I have the oyster on it now. It was very squeaky. I did my Vaseline trick to it and it's pretty good now. I usually have to take out 3 or 4 links to get it to fit my wrist.... these bracelets were just big enough ootb. I'm a big guy (6'4" @ 285) but I don't have fat wrists. If you do, this is not going to fit.
I'll take some more pics tomorrow inside and outside if I can get home before dark.
