This is true. At this point any AR company can make any color hue or produce "invisible" coatings. The trade secrets are more about a distinctive color or reflection amount (like blue for IWC). And while not really very secret or hard to replicate, they are sometimes associated with a brand specifically (like IWC).

Sry, i dont want to participate any wars or fights or competitor-things, but:
I am interested in this CC Product - but i wondering on 2 things:
If anything happens, is it true that you are not protected by RWI Sales policies, right? No m2m Sale and no Trused Dealer Protection.
So youre buying from a external Shop that is selling regular aftermarket stuff. But why is DS Xtals Inc trying to hide their Identities? A Whois lookup leads nowhere. If their business is legit, then why do they need to hide themselfes?
Just wondering. Maybe @Asmodeus can spread more information. Where are they located? EU? Where? Who is behind DS Xtals Inc?

DS Xtals is a new company a local lab in Minnesota started in addition to their current business of optical lenses. As for Whois lookups most companies have that registered private. Otherwise spam. I've owned multiple companies and always registered as private. But who knows. But it is an external company and you'd have to ask them about warranty and such. But being a Minnesota based company they are legally bound by US laws. Hopefully someone becomes a wholesaler for them or something so we can have someone who is an SV here to use. I considered it but don't have the time to fulfill the orders

What you have to consider is that you have to see a review out of an independent reviewer who will have all available crystals, under the same light conditions and will shoot pictures from multiple angles.
It's really great having a lot of options but what I am going to suggest is to wait to see all the available options and evaluate them. Prices mentioned in above posts may not apply to "non prototype" products so give it some time to see them in person.

Let's just say I'd personally like to see an unbiased set of pictures, same watch, same lighting conditions, different crystals.
I'd personally like to see a true blinded head to head comparison.

Looks like you are all on the same page to me as far as what really counts- Asmo has bowed out yes due to the thread degenerating and I don't know what PM's were flying about the subject but I don't see anything he posted that explicitly said he would not participate in a comparo....he just did not reply to invitations to supply his crystal just yet. Maybe he will do so when it/he is ready?
I am going to add that I also would like to see all the cards on the table, the strengths and weaknesses of each crystal examined so we could pick the one that suited our wants.

This is my dream also. I've never seen an asmodeus xtal yet. I know the prof blackhole I prefer to the cc blackhole (green is too much for me). My personal review is prof wins there. For flat I don't see a large difference between Prof and CC. If anything a small nod to cc. For domed (most IWC and panerai) I give the nod to Prof again. But I'm one person and think having a shootout blind taste test style would be best. I think sonil should be included also, also guru and domi and taka if those are attainable still. I'm a capitalist and want options and more competition leads to better quality and better prices for me as a consumer
You don't have to explain anything steve, let these guys live in the world where every sapphire and every AR is the same.

This is crazy. I’m embarrassed for even being in this post. I don’t understand why assmodus is taking this so personal. Like CC is coming after his business. Lol. They are not even in the rep game. They are making another option of AR which is cost effective. It certainly seems like assmodus is upset because a new release of AR came out before his. It just doesn’t make sense why you are so pissed. No one attacked you. No one said your xtal is crap. But, you have came in this thread and embarrassed yourself and your xtals before they even came to market. It’s almost as if you are wanting to hide from this. If I had a far superior xtal/AR I would be happy to have pics posted in comparison with the others. Prof acted like a true gentleman and thank you for that. He has a great product as we all know and have seen. No one said different. Assmodus, we have spoke about your xtal and I was excited to use it. But, at the same time I have purchased several of CCs and I like them also. Options are great for the community!!! Different strokes for different folks! Nothing wrong with that. Try and see what everyone is saying. No one has attacked you or your product but you have attacked CCs who has nothing to do with this forum and is defenseless. But, I’m done posting and again I certainly feel embarrassed for how this thread turned out. I know Spin didn’t want it to go this way! I would just really like to see everyone’s product.
