Would love to have one of those…. Are they available anywhere for a decent price?
Would love to have one of those…. Are they available anywhere for a decent price?
Same question as above. Would love to know where to find a 1.5 link for this piece (and for a 15202 if possible). Thanks so much in advance for any leads/pro tips.
Challenge is plating over PVD if the original color is off. At least AFAIKThat method doesnt work on reps because its not real gold
After a nasty experience with a Clean Daytona I refuse to buy expensive gold reps, only PVD BP reps for me!
It is not a true clone movement. I did a limited service on my watch (I stuck to dial side) and while I have to say parts look damn close compared to the gen parts. Until puretime or another TD shows a break down part comparison, I'd call them 90% there. For example the escapement bridge is not the same as the gen bridge, tho all the other parts dial side looked to match.Noone has done a full breakdown of this movement so we don't actually know if it's a "true clone" per 4130 (replaceable with gen parts) or a "clone" which is similarly built but not compatible with gen parts, similar to A330 movement. Additionally, these flyback chrono movement parts are not easily found. Or at least I haven't seen any. So if a niche part breaks you're shit out of luck. I could be wrong or corrected.
Both look incredible…well doneNot gonna lie, these models are addicting now… I need more dial options and mods. Might have found my new “Daytona”

Amazing pics of both! Thanks for sharing, its greatly appreciated -
When you wind it up does the 6 o’clock seconds hand marker move. If yes then it’s workingI have a question that may show my ignorance but be easily answered:
*** Is you guys manual wind mechanism like completely silent and resistance free?***
(You know basically EVERY watch you wind makes SOME noise and has SOME resistance.)
This AP 26240 rep with clone 4401 movement has a completely silent and completely nonresistant when twisting the crown.
When I turn the CASEBACK over and watch the movement while winding I can only see one wheel hidden way underneath moving when twisitng crown.
Did I get a bum watch or
What am I missing?
[First AP rep here. I’ve never done much research or anything on AP or the 4401 movement, but a rep with the tricompax layout with a flush datewheel?? Yea I’m on board!]
Where you got the 50th anniversary rotor from?
Hah, I’m not that ignorant about watches bro. When you wind it up does the 6 o’clock seconds hand marker move. If yes then it’s working
900$ or 900000$ doesn't matter, does I have to remind you it's HIS watch, if he want to use a scissors to open the caseback it's HIS problem, we should just focus on the other things like dial and so on, not the murdered screws.Well, I beg to differ, for $900 you can get several decent gen watches of very good quality, so it is not just "about a rep" anyways but about a $900 watch.
I always put a layer of cellular/foam rubber of 1mm or 2mm on the back of the watch when it is a metal bracelet so that it fits comfortably and doesn´t jiggle around on the wrist.3 is to tight, 4 to big.
Iefff, that blue looks good! Not gonna lie, these models are addicting now… I need more dial options and mods. Might have found my new “Daytona”

Wow, amazing mate!Hey everyone! I finally received my Franken white dial , here are some pictures it’s tougher clicking comparison pictures than I thought. Lighting on ap dials play such a big role.
Apsf has done amazing job the case construction is exactly like gen, the bracelet is definitely lot smoother on gen the dimensions are exactly the same as gen. Il do a better comparison next week just very occupied with work. Clicked a few pics for you guys.
The only thing I noticed different were the screws they are WG pale coloured on gen , and Rep DW is white, where as Gen is pale cream coloured
Apsf Dial is really really good the colour matches the gen pretty much , it doesn’t look plasticky like 15500 reps, except for the subdial ring which are shinier and more prominent on gen. The Winding on both watches is very smooth
The Franken turned out really good , I got confused a few times had to look at the movement
Lefts is apsf with gen dial installed , right is gen ap. Dial outside is apsf stock.
