This actually looks very good to me and exceeds the expectations I originally had for this dial.

The way the green dial looks is very sensitive to light and angle. There are always going to be differences between gen and rep, of course, but the color difference you're seeing here is being magnified by the fact that the gen dial is the one catching the light directly in both examples
Light or not there seems to be a huge difference.

Just look at the date wheels which are supposed to match the dial, same shade difference between them as with the dials.

Not to say it’s bad, but it’s definitely nowhere near perfect. Same thing with blue.

Yes, as stated, there is a difference and there's always going to be. I think it looks great, though, and will look even better in-person with the same dramatic, light-sensitive, dynamic effect that I was hoping for.

Also it looks like the subdials on the gen are placed "far" more on the outside in comparison to APSF (gap between sudial and squares);
and also the squares of the gen Tapisserie are bigger = less spacing between squares.
This is what I go with. See the top and bottom of the subdials and how much of the squares are covered. One can also see the subdial ring thickness - but this is magnified... Still an amazing rep effort, and I can't wait to get my greedy grubby hands on one.

I actually quite like the apsf blue. I never have and probably never will see the genuine one, so the difference in blue doesn’t bother me. As long as I like what I see on my wrist, I’m happy. 😊

I prefer the APSF green...
Same here. Audemars Piguet doesn't have a monopoly on their produced work being automatically considered the best (e.g. it's possible AP has a batch of really bad QC where they send out watches with clearly misaligned datewheels, it would be completely correct to say that a well made rep is closer to the platonic ideal of the watch reference than those particular gen specimens). Genuinely prefer the colour of the rep dial to the gen one.

I see it when I walk past the AP store, haha. However also, I'll be happy to have one on my wrist (with straight hour markers and better bezel screws).

Haha I haven’t been to the flagship in a while… maybe I should check it after I get my blue dial and take a quick picture lol.

Did you already reject some qc? The 3 and 9 hour markers definitely seem to be a common issue. Unsure about the bezel screw situation.

Yes, without magnifying I might not even have noticed it.

Below there is a picture of the 15400 dials by ZF and ASPF I just took, where the gaps on the ASPF seem to be more prominent ... could be a trend.

I'm still waiting in queue. Haven't had a transaction yet. The TD has told me they'd reach out ( "I'll call you, don't call me." ) Haha. Probably after CNY until I get mine along with the general population.

As for the bezel screw situation, I *think* the 15400 bezel screw is compatible, so I sort of want someone to try it out on this 26240.

I'll be happy for better 26240 reps since that movement is out. IMO this version tests the waters, and they can see how much interest exists.

Green APS vs Gen dial

Not that close…

Of course not, one is gen the other is rep. But the difference doesn’t justify the price they’re asking around for these gen dials. Paying 5, 6 or 7 times the price of this AMAZING rep is just crazy if you ask me, when the tells will always be there when you know where to look at…

To be fair. The blue is not even close either. It's like what has been stated multiple times in this thread. Choose a color you enjoy and just be done with it. Like Legend says, the watch will only be 1:1 when the price is 1:1.

The gen blue has a warmer blue color than the rep. But you know what? Whatever! They both look great!

The good news is that you can always buy the gen for $60,000 if you care that much about a slight tonal variation :)
