Apsf makes em not Puretime. This is APSF issue fyi. Just to clarify. Hope you get a good resolution.while people arguing, my bracelet is totally dissablemded... not only on the top but also in the middle... complete failure.... Send a message @puretime yesterday, hope they can get back to me with a solution ! I definitly a new one if they manage to properly produce one
Of course . @puetime kindly respond and will arrange something with APSF... don't blame the messenger ))))Apsf makes em not Puretime. This is APSF issue fyi. Just to clarify. Hope you get a good resolution.
Sorry, who are?Why don't you get banned for saying that?? LOL
You keep saying it's just a rep but you also get mad and saying F word for that?
The funny thing is RWI don't do anything about this.
RWI is really a joke..
What I’m a bit concerned about is if the current production of the bracelets have the same flaws.while people arguing, my bracelet is totally dissablemded... not only on the top but also in the middle... complete failure.... Right you are. They don't merely look larger. They are larger since the lug to lug (which is btw a more relevant measurement when determining size) is bigger because of the integrated bracelet.
I hope factory/factories will provide replacement cases and bracelets for their ceramic rep models at reasonable prices. If not so then I hope they can improve their CE reps to a level which will justify the replacement of the entire watch. In this specific case I'd buy the CE once again if the finishing quality of the visible part of the movement was much closer to that of gen.Even though differences of the geometry between the rep and genuine ceramic bracelet show the potential for stress on the material we should not judge the whole batch or assume it is entirely useless.
Zirconium Ceramic is very hard to work with and conditions to get it fired/machined properly are crucial - much more difficult than stainless steel.
One or two examples of bracelets with a weak point are in relation to the factory's seconds that get sorted out at AP for lack of structural requirements. Keep in mind where these watches come from and what we are paying for high tech materials such as Zirconium Oxide Case sets and BRACELETS which are a novelty and rarity even in the gen world for the last 10 years.
Let's keep it empirical and not let anecdotal reports blur the vision of this release. Optimization and a heads up is always helpful I would say, yes but not fear.

So perhaps better to wait until apsf fixes it then ask PT to replace?
For the same reason you’re not banned yet.Why don't you get banned for saying that?? LOL

So far about 6 posts about themHow many instances are you actually aware of with the bracelet and ceramic corners cracking?
I'd wonder if the dealers are packing these properly, tbh. Seeing as how the bracelets don't react well to being compressed / flexed a certain way, it'd make sense to pack the watches such that they cannot compress inwards.Im not here to pronounce judgement on the rep 26240CE but simply to share my first hand experience.
I’ve so far handled a sample size of 5 26240CEs and 4 of them arrived with bracelet first links/lugs with cracks in them. The cases themselves seem ok so far.
From what I know, APSF is working to provide replacements for the bracelets and/or cases so we will have to wait and see if the replacements are any better. For what it’s worth, the gen 26240CEs are relatively fragile too and like I mentioned, when I collected my watch from the boutique, there was a service center specialist present just to resize the bracelet for me.
This is a $100k watch in gen and the rep is $1000. So let’s be grateful for its release and allow for the factory to fix the flaws. It’s not to late to condemn the release when the rectification efforts fail.
Like Bionone mentioned, this is a very difficult material to work with, beautiful and hardy as it may be. Wear the gen, swing the wrist against a wall hard enough and it will crack like how ceramic is supposed to crack. The gen material also isn’t protected by some magic which renders it invincible. Ceramic is hard to scratch and almost impossible to stain and weather proof. It’ll look good with minimal maintenance even 8-10 years later but this comes with a price.
It’s funny how everyone was rushing to buy the ceramic release with the majority handling the watch like it’s stainless steel. Ceramic requires extra care to handle and it’s best to leave the bracelet resizing to the experts, or do it VERY carefully.
I have faith that the material issue will be resolved. Expect to see a fair share of cracks and breakages but I think it’s a beautiful watch worth waiting for.

And to others, yes, I'm OCD and crazy. I've also been around this forum long enough to appreciate a 0.95:1 replication that costs far less than that to the gen. However, I think it's important to share the flaws and thoughts, vs. the marketing hooplah of ooh's and ahh's. It's great how far reps have gotten, and in particular, our access to them. But, if we were all simply content to buy and wear whatever the rep factories produced, then there wouldn't be a need for a v2, v3, v4... v11, etc (or modders or frankens).
It's important to be thankful for what we have, but it's also important to provide feedback / call out flaws. I already am queued for purchasing one of these V1's, and when a V2 / V3 comes out, I'll probably buy that too and use the V1 movement as a spare parts donor.
(God am I glad I didn't call out the subdial tapisserie alignment issue LOL)
I'm not super well versed in ceramic material working / design, but I recall that the rep profile of bracelet was different to the gen profile. It may require some altered geometry to reduce the stress that is placed on the bracelet when it is flexed at certain angles. Just a hunch coming out of my ass.Sadly you are working with a brittle material that is a replica, you can't expect grade a quality, and even the smallest QC defect can make the watch and/or bracelet useless.
There is a reason the gen is double the price of stainless, they probably throw out several bracelets or cases before assembling one and shipping it to an AD.
I know we should have had better expectations, but at the end of the day it is a replica. I do not know what v2 or v3 etc will fix as it mostly comes down to proper care and QC when assembling...
I would then surmise that you have a rather well educated ass.I'm not super well versed in ceramic material working / design, but I recall that the rep profile of bracelet was different to the gen profile. Couldn’t agree more, like I said above, hats off to them.Really major thank you to the first adoptors of the watch for taking one for the team. 🫡 you're our unsung heroes.
