So my watch2parts 26240 screws came in, and well, they don't fit the bezel holes  Typical.

Did you order the 26240 screws or another model? To same I'm disappointed is putting it mildly.

In his first post he did mention that it was a really snug fit he had to use some pressure/force to get it in.

Yesi found that out the hard way as well they seem to be special made for this model
Very annoying. Did you get them to work? Did you have to sand down the screws? I was so annoyed I didn’t bother taking the calipers to measure. Just put everything back and stepped away from it. Glad I tested with one screw vs taking them all off the 26240.

Wondering what @serumdiesel did.

Shoot. I'm receiving mine tomorrow or Tuesday. I didn't pay much attention to the screws on the rep 26240 QC pics, figuring these would replace them. That would suck to order these from China, only to find out they don't fit.

Are you sure this are not the Offshore ones? I recall this Store had both types.

I didn’t do anything special at all. They fit right in, and the only part that was snug was the external, visible part of the screw with regard to its slot on the bezel.

I’ll try to remember to take a screw out and snap a pic this evening.

I bought some spares from Watch2parts last month. Just checked them and they fit fine. The threaded section is a little shorter than the stock bolts, but once combined with the other half the overall length is fine.

Can you make a pic mate? And how it looks now with water resistant?

A couple of pics for you. First picture the stock part is on the right. You can see the difference in length. In the second picture I stopped just as the threads engaged. You can see that the stock screw on the left protrudes much further. Once the screw is tightened the gaskets compress so you still get several turns of the screw before it's tight.

I’ll take some measurements with the caliper when I get back. I didn’t force the screw in but it definitely wouldn’t just drop in with a press or the finger tip either.

I’m very sure I didn’t order the Offshore ones. The back of the package with the 8 screws was handwritten 26240 as well.

Anyone heard about custom dial for 26240 coming from SW of something? I would love the sub dial ring to be thicker

I keep hearing about this sub dial ring issue lately, but am I crazy to not notice it or think it is that big of a deal in real life? We look at these watches under high magnification and I am not sure how noticeable this really is.

I’ve seen black dial examples from the very first batch where it was a truly noticeable issue but, since then and other than that specific dial batch, every other example I’ve seen has not had this issue to any level of importance.

To be clear, there is still a difference with gen, but to me it’s not noticeable (practically speaking) and doesn’t diminish my enjoyment of this spectacular release in any way.

AP 26240st Franken

I can’t thank @legend enough for this amazing Franken he build for me. The watch was stuck in customs because after verification they thought it’s a GEN and they asked me to pay a lot on customs!!

@legend helped me a lot to clear it out and I didn’t pay a penny.

Here is the specs.
  1. Blistered NEW GEN Dial and GEN date wheel
  2. 22k gold CNC rotor
  3. Complete movement overhaul
  4. Rebrush case/bezel/bracelet
  5. Bracelet/case beveling + polishing
  6. Polish and align bezel screws
  7. Waterproof and Pressure test
I think APSF did a great job with this rep but in my opinion in real life the difference between the GEN dial and Rep is way more obvious.

Enjoy the pictures comparing it with the Rep.

Thanks to this post I cannot buy the rep blue dial as it currently is.

That gen dial is just 🤩

LMAO!! Stupid me I was comparing gen photo to the photos here with the gen dial, thinking WTF is the big deal. There was a post above just showing the wrist shot that I was referring to.

Either way, I am OK with my 26240 and how it looks, still a great rep
