Sorry I don't have any gen to compare to unlike the fortunate you. My bad .Enjoy your pricey watches!šŸ‘
I really feel nobody needs to rub in your nose any honest mistakes one makes in this hobby. After all this is rwi not rolex forum, itā€™s not like thereā€™s a requirement to have a gen piece to participate. After all you were only looking to get a better rotor and were not soliciting your own product to unsuspecting members. So enjoy your build and have fun with it

Nobodies rubbing anything in anyoneā€™s nose. An honest mistake is just that, an honest mistake. An incorrect post stated as hard facts at the time followed by passive aggressiveness after being corrected of being wrong does not constitute an honest mistake in my books and is absolutely uncalled for.

This metal colour of the gen rotors topic has been discussed so many times, same as the white gold bezel screws, recessed bezel screws and 2xAR crystals etc. so you got to understand these topics have become kind of a running gag at this point.

I donā€™t think there was any ā€œrubbing of nosesā€ of any kind. This may not be the Rolex forum but it doesnā€™t mean that we shouldnā€™t get our facts about gen details correct. This is still a forum where knowledge counts. Isnā€™t that one of the primary purpose of members coming here to read? And isnā€™t it great that the rep, for which you also own, has the correct rotor color vs gen rather than it being mistakenly seen as a tell by everyone reading the fallacy?

I think itā€™s important that guys know their facts before stating that this or that is a tell when it isnā€™t. And when the fact was pointed out, the guy was happy to learn and move on. Nothing offensive was said. So I do not see what your issue is. Youā€™ve been here long enough so grow some skin and donā€™t be so sensitive or easily offended over nothing.
If you have a problem with that, itā€™s too bad. Feel free to use the ignore button.

wondering how much is a gen yellow gold rotor...
Chat GPT told me recently $3k - 4k, but cant verify it. I have seen used rotors from other ROs for $2k-$3k and saw a thread on another forum recently that you can order custom rotors from AP for some models in the $5k-$7k range.

I have a 26240 on order and could have added a CNC 22k rotor for about $1000.

I'm happy to answer the question with the caveat that you understand my own preferences aren't extrapolatable to anyone else. Out of a large collection that is always expanding, my three favorite wearing pieces are 5711 (which I hated until I wore one), 15703 on steel bracelet, and DJ41 on jubilee.

Although I doubt anything really "looks great" on me given that, well, it's me, I do like the 44mm offshores but nothing quite compares to how my three aforementioned favorites feel to me on the wrist.

We'll see how the 26240 reps that I ordered feel (I got every single steel variant, and the black ceramic) once they arrive, but I don't have any in-hand yet. I've been waiting forever, but the green should be arriving s
I have a custom 5711 build in the works and looking forward to receiving it. Something tells me I will get it long before my 26240 haha.

Factories create these watches in batches right?

Iā€™d think they already sold out on the v1 batch and hopefully they started or already finished with the 2nd batch while fixing the BCeramic flaw or other smaller flaw for a v2 release.

Chinese factories tend to work very fast in most industries.

I believe youre right. My seller told me that most of the existing stock right now is previous RL, or has issues. That's why he is telling me to wait longer.

I need to stop looking at this! I keep saying I want the green, then what the hell get a rose gold. No just 1 for me! I made my choice!

I would honestly believe it, but you have to imagine at this point after CNY the production has ramped back up. One seller told me something about waiting for movements, but luckily got a blue dial from another TD and it is en route.

In my personal (and professional) experience itā€™s more often than not that what matters just as much as the message is the way itā€™s delivered. No need to say anything offensive to make someone uncomfortable. Coming from a position of riches (incl. knowledge-based) is a blessing but not all are equally blessed. Some of us are in this hobby for fun, others for lack of funds or even local ADs/boutiques. Some live in high-crime countries and wearing an expensive time piece is simply a no go. So not all know the shade of RG/YG/WG. This should not make them lesser enthusiasts or should it... So letā€™s keep things calm and enjoy our hobby. No thick skin required to do that

Couldnā€™t wait for my replacement ceramic bracelet to come so had to get this guy. Only 6 days from ordering to in hand. Looking at the close ups my 6 might be a hair off but Iā€™m not too picky on my qc and as others have mentioned near impossible to tell on wrist. Dial has crazy changes in different lighting! I get a hair pinch here and there but nothing crazy but also donā€™t have the most hair to begin with. Overall gonna be a hard choice to keep both or let one go. ~7in wrist by the way for anyone wondering
