New AP 26240 with 4401 Super Clone movement is coming

In my opinion the rotor of apsf have bad font and not so deep engrave for Audemars Piguet written. And to my eyes rotor looks yellow gold.

The rest of the watch is great, i can live with that.

Dude from where? Is it RG plated or real RG ...if Real RG is cheap for USD 500?

Saw this posted on reddit ap forum. What are your thoughts gen or rep? It's interesting how rough the dial seems around the registers, particularly at 9. Looking at other gen dials online it isn't uncommon. Is it the dial or are our cameras doing something weird like smoothing or sharpening the tapisserie patterns with AI to create these artifacts? Seems our aps dials aren't so bad after all?

looks gen to me, the blue is brighter and more "alive" than the rep imo

It's an easy tell, look at the subdial rings, APSF has too large, this is gen, probably lighting and shoddy camera quality that is causing that artifacting

99 % sure that at least the dial is gen (subdials / color).

do you know how the rotor is attached to the steel ballbearing contruction in the middle? Is it pressed (or glued)?

It's an easy tell, look at the subdial rings, APSF has too large, this is gen, probably lighting and shoddy camera quality that is causing that artifacting

I suspect that to be the case too. It makes it look nasty, like glue overspill or the dial was molested to fit the ring.

Mine arrived. Amazing watch. Really like it. Wear almost the same as the 15407.

I only have one issue. Either it’s too tight, or it’s too loose. Nothing in between. An issue I’ve had several times with AP and PP.

Other than that I love the olive green dial. It’s really nice.

I’m sure @legend has heard this statement so often the sentence “the rotor is rose gold” causes him to have a burning desire to ninja star style throw a rotor in everyone’s direction aiming for a specific part of the face.

My gens all have this tell then.. they must be reps as the rotors are YG.

What are your favorite watches to wear given the large wrist size? I only have a 7 inch wrist but already find some models feel too small to me. I bet the 44mm offshores look great on you.

I'm happy to answer the question with the caveat that you understand my own preferences aren't extrapolatable to anyone else. Out of a large collection that is always expanding, my three favorite wearing pieces are 5711 (which I hated until I wore one), 15703 on steel bracelet, and DJ41 on jubilee.

Although I doubt anything really "looks great" on me given that, well, it's me, I do like the 44mm offshores but nothing quite compares to how my three aforementioned favorites feel to me on the wrist.

We'll see how the 26240 reps that I ordered feel (I got every single steel variant, and the black ceramic) once they arrive, but I don't have any in-hand yet. I've been waiting forever, but the green should be arriving shortly.
