You lose sleep over reps? :p

lol that’s funny.

As for me I only lose sleep over gen the day I get the call. I travel a lot so usually I would pay over the phone and not get the watch for week or so after

It was worth the pain and sleepless nights.

You should see him before this watch arrives. I think he didn't get any sleep since the order was placed until he received the watch and we ensure him it was a good one.

I see that he really really loves his reps. A model rep collector. I can only dream of being half the rep connoisseur that he is. :notworthy:

How is the bracelet quality on this? Some here have remarked that it feels subpar but then I've also heard of people complaining on Youtube about the gen's being delicate and flimsy.

Quality is pretty solid. By no mean the level of arf oyster but it's pretty solid for real.

Gen is also flimsy compared to other sport models of the similar tier. However gen is much "softer" and more comforting compared to rep.

Cool, did you ask for waterproofing by your TD, and if so, much extra?

I thought unless serviced/sealed etc, swimming was a no no for reps ootb.

No factory waterproof only. its tricky but all my watches are working perfect after lots of swimming. I allways test in a small basket of Hot water for 15 minutes checking it every minute.

Mine should be with me on Tuesday (originally ordered in March!)

The 6 marker is a tiny bit crooked on mine but I've waited so long I just wanted to have it and I'm happy living with it.

I echo everybody else here, this isn't going to be sold as I genuinely think this build will be troublesome for the factories for whatever reason. I really hope not as I would love to see this improve version by version.

That’s great, but question is, if it isn’t sealed properly isn’t it too late by the time you’ve tested it? Like if it isn’t sealed and you dip it in and out a few times and water gets in then surely the movement is compromised no?

That'd be my worry too, hence why I'd consider Bartham a braver man than me, in addition to being extremely lucky ;)

Because my TD, and the advice I've seen a few times on here, from members far more knowledgeable than me, is to keep them away from water (well submersion anyway) unless serviced/sealed and water-tested professionally.

exactly, I have a modded and serviced watch which I bought on m2m which was supposed to be tested but after a swim I noticed the dial fogged up. Watch works fine now but wouldn’t risk it again on a pre owned watch. Have 2 pieces being done by Legend for me and those will be waterproofed, the idea of not having to take the watch off is a big plus for me!
