So I received mine for 2 weeks and it looks beautiful. However, the moonphase doesn’t work (can’t be adjusted or even moves over the month). I tried it fully wound, in the AM and activated the pusher cleanly but it still doesn’t work. After a back & forth w/ Trusty, they said that it’s supposed to not work at all and non-fuctional. I’m not sure if that correct since other members were able to adjust it and I feel that Trusty is just covering their ass. Any ideas on how to follow up or fix it?

Either you did not get the right watch or they’re lying to you. My moonphase works just fine.

You’ll probably need to send it to a modded who can work on it and give it a service

I would then switch the orientation of the closure. I need clasps that close towards me. Just my crazy thing.

Here is a close up shot.... 12 marker definitely a gap. 3 o clock looks ok to me . But then again i am seeing with only one functional eye

I had misaligned 12 markers in my gen 5270/1R (look up that watch on the Patek website). The gap on your 12 markers is totally acceptable and you should green light the watch. It is within gen tolerances for acceptability.

Thanks all for your help. I appreciate it. I couldnt get a good read on the alignment with one functioanl eye. I just asked geektime eric to check the moon phase function to make sure its running Before he ships.

thanks for the information.

Gen height 8.52mm vs ZF 9.67mm

Do you think its 1.15mm difference ???? does matter in terms of wrist feeling and side view looking ?

I have a PPF V4 which is the same thickness as gen (around 8.5mm) and I can tell you there is virtually zero difference to me wearing that vs this 5712.

Is it thicker? Yes. Is it easily seen on the wrist or effect wearing? Absolutely not at all.

The only thing (and I find this to be a positive) is that it feels slightly heavier which is nice. I’ve always found the 5711 to be too light

If you wear your watch snug or bracelet tight it even looks more low profile.

I wear my watches pretty loose haha I like Rolex the best because of the glide lock / easy link system. I’m usually traveling to different temperature changes so those are helpful. No one else does bracelet like Rolex!

At this point we’ve seen tons of pics and videos, but for me this is definitely a first. A yoku video with English subtitles! So many of our questions early on with new releases would probably be answered if this was a common procedure. Nonetheless, he touches on the move from Green to PPF to ZF. Also talks about the moon phase and its functioning (I know someone earlier made mention that they were told it was fake - it’s not. Or not suppose to be).
