Probably won't be anything beyond the datewheel, but nobody really knows yet.

Gen or prof crystal is going to be my first change either way, followed by bezel insert and maybe VR3135. That might be left until the stock movement starts to disappoint.

Yeah sounds like good mods

I’ve been hoping to find a no date 14060, but so far no luck. Would it be possible to change dial and crystal on one of these? If so, where could I find those?

From my understanding BP used to make one, not sure if it is still available but i heard it wasn't the best.

There is also a slight difference in case size i believe of 1mm if that bothers you, all rep 14060 use 16610 cases.

I believe you can get a dial from rafflesdials and can remove the cyclops yourself instead of getting a new crystal.

despite those obvious flaws, can we all just appreciate this 5 digit design? so nice

Very nice, yes. I would be interested in a comparison with the old JF, to understand if they changed something or not.

I may be wrong but to me lugs on the old JF seem slimmer and better than this

Post please QC pics of the bracelet and clasp.
dam it I just received a week ago the V3 116610LN ARF. I just couldn't be more patient.
well guys, just enjoy the beauty of this model for a fraction of the price of the real one.
by the way when I received my 116610LN V3 ARF and looked at the rehault engravings and all what have been discussed here over what you name flaws I understood that people are OCD. YOU JUST CAN't see these engraved rehault unless you have your eyes 2 cm away from the watch or zoom in on a picture...

It's hard to say with the plastic cover. Crown guards are still too tiny, which is the same issue that the JF has. And same datewheel font as well. Looks to me like the same watch but in 904L

It can totally be that they have just made the same exact watch in 904L. ARF has done it other times in the past. Anyway it's the only decent 16610 that we have today, so I guess if one wants to buy one it's the only solution.

Happy to see they are finally being sent to dealers!

with regards to getting a gen crystal, would LEC or non LEC be better for this?

It depends what you want to represent.

If you’re getting a no rehaut engraving version, and not getting the lugs drilled, then either. If you plan to drill the lugs, then no LEC would be more appropriate. If you’re getting the rehaut engraved version, then LEC would be better. Late period models had LEC and AR. And of course any period model might have LEC or LEC/AR if it had been in for a service and been replaced by Rolex with the latest version... in which case you’d also probably get the service crystal with a little ‘S’ in the crown.

The dial coronet is disappointing, it tends toward the ugly frogfoot design. See gen below. Also the lug chambers are huge compared to gen.

Thank you for the fantastic information.

Getting the lug holes drilled wasn't an option I'd considered before but i think it would be useful since i would be changing the strap often since this watch is so versatile.

I think i will enjoy the watch stock for a few weeks before doing anything, but i will look into what casework can be done while i am getting lug holes drilled at the same time.

Based on everything no LEC would be more appropriate since i have no interest in an engraved rehaut, however i think I'd prefer the overall look with AR and LEC so I'll hold off until looking more at more modded JF examples.

This is everything I have. Let the experts judge it

Oh wow I think thats ok as a base for a franken the lug chamfers in person hopefully don't look too bad the dial indicies do not look round and the dw looks barf but its in the right steel now. Its also the only option we have now so it's suck it up or go with the 6 digits
