Thanks to the help of others here and ebay, was able to finally finish my first project!
Base ARF 16610
VR3135 swap
Gen super luminova dial
Gen insert
Aftermarket gen crown tube
Have a Gen monobloc crown but it wouldnt screw onto the stem all the way, so kept the ARF crown for now.
I broke the ARF tube so that led to me having to counter sink the case. I used a cordless power drill and 11/64" bit and drilled it out by hand, keeping it centered as best I could. I also ran a 3.0x0.35mm tap through it, and voila, finally got it in flush!
I also lost the original mounting tabs that came with it so i had to order some off ebay and grind them down a bit.
VR3135 swap is a must, the date wheel is so much better, and nicely centered. The engraving is also really good, might put see through back on it, despite the balance bridge.
Next thing to do would be to get a bezel assembly as the ARF stock is kind of loose.

I don't think the ARF CG are that bad. Comparing to gen, the gen might be VERY slightly longer, but it depends as most gen's have been polished somewhat. I've looked at a bunch of pictures of no-holes cases and the shape of the CG seems to vary quite a bit depending on the polish job.
For those interested, BK in the TD section recently posted modded 16610 ARFs with swiss ETA 2824 swap, better lume, custom DW, with crystal, insert, dial, cyclops and bezel re-alignment, etc. Probably the best 5 digit subs you can get OOTB.

Thank you for the info but I think BKs product offering is for 6-digit Sub-C, this thread concentrates on ARF 5-digit Submariner (aluminium bezel).
I bought my 5 digit ARF 16610LV from BK, with 2824 swap. Just message him and he'll make it for you. He even has a link with QC pics.
