If you can't see it bro, so much the better for you. Just be happy with your watch.

Yeah its not quite as clear as my 116610 in the cyclops but it depends on the light source and if its above or to the side it reflects differently. Overall I'm happy ????

Just received my ARF 116610LN from jtime. Great service, took about a month from sending payment till arrival.

Overall impressions:
- Case:
-Impressive finishing and polish. There are chamfers, but ive seen gens with no holes cases have chamfers as well, so not a deal breaker. The 904L looks nice and bright.
-Crown guards are not as pointed/angular as on gen. Can probably shave it a bit to suit your liking.

- Dial:
-Really nice markers, they are highly polished and look close to gen. Have nice rounded edges. Text is clear and well printed.
-The 6 marker is very slightly off center from the chapter ring. The other markers may be slightly off but couldn't tell for sure.
-The dimple at the center is not as prominent as on a Gen. The outer edges also lack the beveling/curvature that the gen has which gives it that 3d effect.
-Datewheel as noted earlier is indeed Bold. Should change this out for the cost of gen ($100).

- Hands:
-Well polished and are curved similar to gen. Dont really need to change them.

Crystal:
-Cyclops looks great, has a nice black hole effect similar to gen. No tinting and the magnification is clear.

- Bezel:
-Insert has a more matte finish than Gen. Worth it to swap this for the cost.
-Pearl looks good.

- Bracelet:
-904L finishing looks good. End links fit tightly.
-The sides of the links lack the mirror finishing that gen has and instead have a brushed finish.
-Crown on clasp stamping is not even, the spikes on the crown are flatter than the crown and endpoints.

Out of the box, its a perfectly competent watch and is a dead ringer from a foot away.

Changing the bezel insert, datewheel are prob the biggest bang for buck, then perhaps the dial. The luminova dials are harder to find though.

Thanks for the review. Just to avoid confusion, it's a 16610 not a 116610 ;)

Many gen 16610s have fully brushed bracelets, with brushing on the side of the links as well. Rolex didn't start polishing the bracelet sides until about 2003.

No 16610 has ever had polished sides to the bracelet!!! Only the 16710 and exp2 had that. So much misinformation on here! Good review overall.

Good to know, thanks for the correction. I've seen early gen 5 digits with polished sides on the bracelet, guess it must have been done by a third party.

At least ARF got that right.

That looks like a JF.. I thought ARF used VR3135s..?

If it is gen spec, then that’s much better than JFs.

I have a ARF date disc and those fonts are not ARFs. ARFs actually looks very close to gen on the fonts unless you use 10x magnification and see the blurry Bits on the fonts.

Looks like ARF to me and I’ve owned one. They don’t come with a VR. They have an SH inside.

Mine with a gen crystal, bezel polish and a Vr3135 beating inside.

How hard is the VR swap? I just ordered one to swap out the SH.

Very straight forward. Straight swap bud.

Anyone know what crown tube these take, is it specific to ARF only? Tried to put in a gen 7030 tube, but looks like the thread pitch is incorrect and wont screw in completely.

If only we can have the ARF 16610 with the new AR movement. I think plenty of us would buy.
do you think possible?

Note to others, a gen crown tube will not fit properly. The gen case has an indented 'seat' for the tube, you can see on the tube there is a slight step in diameter between the case side and the crown tube that fits in that seat.

However, the ARF case has no seat for the gen tube, so the gen tube will not sit flush with the case. ARF got around this by removing that slight ledge between the inner and outer part of the tube.

Unfortunately I broke my ARF tube and seem to be screwed as there are no replacement tubes that will sit flush. So save your ARF tubes!

Attached a pic, you can see my broken ARF tube on the right and the aftermarket ones on the left.

The case just needs to be counter-sunk and retapped, then it'll accept a gen tube.

hey folks,

what a controversial piece ARF made :) on one page I'm convinced to buy it immediately and on the next, again I give up. DW, movement and the price are deal breakers for me. I wish it had 316 steel and a price around $400, I'd jump on it despite the DW and the SH3135...

So what are the people that want a 5-digit doing now? Should we wait for a decent 14060? Or a more sensible 16610 (maybe 316L steel with a cheaper price or one with VR3135) ?

I am now in standby mode to pull the trigger on a 5 digit but not sure if its the piece I need to get :D
