Nautilus date wheel project

Well this is still to early to say. PF and BP (aquanaut) have more or less the same dimensions so the dw will fit this two. Now the PF date windows is close to gen, if the other makers tried to make their date windows close to gen the dw should fit. This is just pure speculation because without having the watch or someone do real measurements nothing can be defined.

Thank you. It seems the project just got a bit more complicated, probably more than one date wheel/DWO size would be required to fit all models.

Just as an FYI I asked my TD to look into if I could get a ZF DW. It might fit the others and is worth the extra $50 or whatever they would charge just to appease my curiosity. I'm going to ask my watchsmith to install it into the KMF version

Also the KW hour markers are badly finished compared to ZF, but the dial is more accurate in terms of logo print and waffle pattern. Might need to buy a ZF and KMF, swap parts to make up for a perfect watch and sell the other to someone who cares less?

Yup I offered to sweeten the pot by paying much over ($100), but they still said they couldn't get it for me. I'd like to put it into my KMF.

I was referring to post #287, with the date shown to be on the 29th. Somehow my quoted post, with a picture showing the date of 29th changed to a date of the 15th (post #288).

It’s not. The shot was taken at an angle. I don’t even know what you’re talking about. Even IF it was misaligned which it isn’t. It’s not a big deal. I have seen COUNTLESS gen Pateks that have misaligned dates.

Yes.
I agree with you.
sometimes it may look like it’s left justified when you don’t keep watch perfectly straight but I really don’t think that’s the case here.

It does look like it’s just slightly to the left but I’m not sure you it will be noticeable when you hold it in your hand. Pics can always show a lot imperfection, they can also lie but I do think Date is slightly to the left.

It’s not - zoom in the photo and you’ll see the date border is slightly too far to the right creating an illusion of extra white. If this is fixed the DW is dead centre. Keylog & Steve have done a fantastic job.

i dont really know whats your experience with gens, but when QueTip said that there are alot of Nautlilus's with left justified DW he is right. First because the font is supper big on a date windows that is what it is, second because its a fact.

Now we made this an open project and this is my fist time reacting, but id like everyone before comment to do research or compare to gen if possible.
