Nautilus 5712 RG PPF 1:1 Best Edition Gray Dial on RG Bracelet A240

Im contemplating the Nautilus 5712 RG PPF.
The watch looks amazing.
Any feedback on how PP rose gold plating holds up?

I thought the same in some pics. Is there a better upgrade ?I have zero issues with the RG. But I find that the brown dial comes off as orangey instead of brown
I've always been like that. Most times when I get it, I'm happyI am one to take chances and hope for the best in the QCs. Maybe Puretime just has shit photography. If that is the case and it comes back as good as the 5711 I got from PP, then I would buy that one too.
Long time no talk, man! How are you?I am one to take chances and hope for the best in the QCs. Maybe Puretime just has shit photography. If that is the case and it comes back as good as the 5711 I got from PP, then I would buy that one too.

You know they had to get rid of their old stock - what better way is there than to just dump old garbage with a little bit of hype/spice onto the market? HahaI don't know if people have noticed this. But this has a protruding crown. Exactly like the V1 5712 ppf. So basically they've taken a V1 ppf 5712 and plated it, and put in a brown-orangey dial and coloured moon phase.
Disappointing step by PPF. They should've skipped it and gone directly to the V2.
Be prepared, I have the gen and it never looks like that in any light, never had orange cross my mind once.I am not really sure. I do think that PP has the upper hand over 3kF on these. I have this one from PP, which is considered grey and it's awesome man. The plating and color look great. I am not sure if the pics are weird from Puretime, but that dial in the pic looks off. Not Grey at all. But you can never be sure until you see QCs. For example, I ordered the 3KF dial below and the QC came back as hot mess lol. You can see for yourself what I ordered and then what the QC looked like.

The protruding crown is 1xmm max. Nothing that will take away from it appearance, let alone have anyone call you out.I don't know if people have noticed this. But this has a protruding crown. Which issues on the 5712 v2 were you referring to?The protruding crown is 1xmm max. Nothing that will take away from it appearance, let alone have anyone call you out.

Also the V2 Clone have a few issues. Unsure if those have been fixed. However, yes, it would be nice to have the V2C functions.
A piece like the 5712R is that is stays on the writs. It's not a watch you hand over to people. Few, besides the owner, will see the movement or test the functions.
My man @oceaon explains it in the post below, but you can read more here: https://forum.replica-watch.info/threads/new-ppf-5712-with-pp240-super-clone.10761517/Which issues on the 5712 v2 were you referring to?
I 100% agree. I would love a working PR, I'm that vain, but can easily live with the V1 case. Like you said, it aint coming off the wrist. Pulling the trigger on the 5712RIn my opinion, the PPF V1 is still the best piece, especially OOTB. It has the best dial by far (and I don't even think it's close). No need to mess with the moon disk because it's correct; the PR goes down with time throughout the day (so it works), and the movement is a workhorse without needing a service.
For V2, on the other hand, I think people are so focused on that working PR, which, in my opinion, has very little significance in the big picture, and the clone movement that, up to this point, has shown to be nothing but problematic of issues and quality control, longevity and still looks fake as hell, lol. If you are going to get a clone movement, at least make sure it can pass as gen. You should probably get a service right away for a V2; swap out the dial with a custom, and buy another moon disk because the color is so bad you wonder how drunk they were when they colored that component. No one is taking this thing off their wrist to show how great the movement is. So, with all of that, what makes the V2 so great? PPF knows this, too, because they keep making V1. Rarely, if ever, does a factory come out with another version and continue to sell a prior version as well. You don't see Clean/ZF/BTF/VSF coming out with a V2 and continuing to sell V1s like hotcakes. PPF knows they have a long way to go on this, and I think they used us as beta testers.
I have a Legend-modded V1 with crown mod and end-link mod. Runs smoother than butter. I tried a V2 and sold it rather quickly. The work that needs to go into the V2 to make it even close to my V1 put me off. Time/Money/Effort
Going back to the OPs question... @johnlogan I would try that RG version BECAUSE it's built on a V1 lol.
Looks much better in this picture. The protruding crown is 1xmm max. Nothing that will take away from it appearance, let alone have anyone call you out.

I agree to each their own.Looks much better in this picture.
You are right about that buddy. But I like my watches as close as gen I can get. To each his own. For me correct functions are important.
