On your screenshot if you look at the diagonal line where the light reflects, there is a hint of light blue and green/turquoise in it.
On the PPF from the pictures we have it seems that when there is a similar reflection the color is a lot more purple/darker blue.

It also seems like the color of the dial is a lot flatter than the gen.

This video is oversatuated like crazy. You can not use something recorded with a 90's phone-camera as a proper comparison

I have initiated an order on this blue dial. Am probably one of the early adopters. I think there is no way to tell subtle color differences with photos, observed on screens, compared with CGIs. Even if photos are taken with a gen side by side, unless under professionally controlled lighting, and screens are up to general human eyesight level.

As one admin mentioned previously, it should be easy to flip.

Its not like this dial is a step forward, i think it was proved in the other thread that pf and ppf were almlst the same thickness
this dial is purple and is nowhere close to the genuine stuff
The pf + custom datewheel is still the way to go then

Where did you see this? PPF is thinner than the PF between 0.35mm-0.45mm.

You are correct, I doubt he has seen a gen before, no rep blue dial has come close to the colour of the gen.

Dude I’ve seen 5711 many times. I sudgest you talk with people who own those watches.

Are you sure? It’s so hard to see a gen in the wild that I honestly don’t know, but from most photos/videos of the 5711/1a I see it is definitely blue, I’m not saying it’s green (I do have eyes haha) but on the blue spectrum it’s more in the green direction than the purple direction, no?

All reps appear to be a slightly purple blue, which is not a colour I have ever seen in a Nautilus dial gen photo!

You can take gen and start taking pics and they all will look slightly different depending on the light.
It look first 2 pics are rendered. Believe me or not but I’ve seen gen with vivid blue dial almost on the purple side.

This is the same PF "Blue" dial with indoor lighting and DWO mod. It looks dark blue, practically purple, and in my opinion looks nothing like the Gen PF 5711 dial.

Now, same EXACT watch, but with natural lighting. Look at the difference in the dial. To me, in the pics below, the blue dial looks more like Gen. This is the SAME watch.

This fills me with a degree of optimism that maybe (just maybe) when we see some pics / videos from other TD's it might prove that the pics showing on Ryan's website are just poor pics. We are all basing our views on that set of pics, and it's possible they might be misleading us all.

Don't take those TD pics too seriously, they are heavily photoshoped and color corrected, I bet you the dial isn't as dark as shown there

Well im new to the forum but i pulled the trigger on the ppf blue. will post GC pictures when ryan sends them and post pictures when i have it in my hand.
