I did but the damn thing won't accept that bezel group, or so I've been told. If I could find an appropriate case I'd probably just swap the movement/dial/hands into it and add one of those bezels/inserts.

Donrix has an NDT on his PT

Angus told me last week that he has them available..I hope this is true as I pulled the trigger on a 6542 with him. I hope its not a let down..... and I can get it to fit Otherwise It will go on my Cartel 1675 that is on its way

That's what I was told here BUT I don't know for sure at all. The watch I got is the same one that Puretime sells - there's only one factory making them. Or was making them. And even though they're supposed to have Swiss 2824s in them mine came with an Asian 2836. So if that's important to you you might wanna verify it.

If you don't mind, once you get your watch could you shoot me a PM? I'd really like to know if that bezel and insert fit.

Lol, I hope he can get you one. If he does and that bezel and insert fit you could take that insert off the watch and strip all the paint off and make it look like your new/vintage one and then maybe put it on a 1675 for a hybrid. If I had an extra acrylic for mine I'd strip it, lume the numbers vintage yellow and then paint it dark blue and dark red. It might be a bitch to get the line right where the colors meet but with a little experimentation it just might work.

Angus confined my order but his stock manager told him that the black dial and roulette wheel are not available [emoji53]. I asked if they will be restocked or discontinued. Will find out. I guess white dial for me. Anyone know of a reasonable source for eta 6542 dials in black ?

Phong makes s black dial, I think you can also get black from MQ and NDT

Angus just emailed me back....the watch is not available with no eta on any sort of restocking or mfg. order cancelled and money refunded... Totally bummed I guess I have to resort back to begging for someone to sell me their 6542... Okay so I have finally gotten around to taking measurements of my ndt bezel and insert for you [MENTION=73591]JAFO[/MENTION] so you can compare them to your to see if they would be a close fit.

I am coming up dry on finding myself a 6542 so I resorted to google replica search. I have spoke to vicky at eta911 and she claims that she can get me a 6542 with black gilt dial and and roulette date wheel. I want to pay via cc or paypal in case its a scam but she will only take western union. I am feeling rather iffy about it as they are not a TD or have very positive reviews on google. the crazy thing is that I am still tempted ...you know what they say..a fool and his money....lol

anyone know or heard of eta911 and know if she is legit.

I have no idea where she would be getting the watch from if the one factory is NA ...I am guessing she is trying to pull a fast one.

someone please sell me theirs..name their price. I am desperate!!

DEFINITELY stay away from a non-TD, and I wouldn't go with a Silix case either. I've been researching this project a lot since March and they're not a great option because of the weird non-Gen spec construction.

You can use a Cartel 1655 and have someone thin it out and grind down the crown guards, or look into a Yuki or MQ case. Either way this isn't a cheap build if you really want to "do this right" but if you've already got the NDT I'd say do it right.

I learned this the hard way on a recent Tudor Snowflake build. I had spent almost half the cost of a gen between buying a selling "budget" parts I thought would get the job done and I wasn't even close to finished.

yeah that is what my research has lead me to believe as well. I am awaiting the arrival of my 1675 from sead and I am going to try swapping the bezels on it and see if that quenches my thrust for the 6542 I already know that I will want to go all in so I am gonna keep an eye open for another 1655 or 1675 case and keep collecting parts....maybe I will just mod the 1675 ...I guess I will see how much I like it when it arrives.
