More than 170 million Yuan worth of equipments, including 1 automatic capping machine, 1 polishing machine, 1 air compressor, were seized at the scene.

Holy ****, $27 million, that's no joke? Is that just the cost of the watch making equipment or the total assets seized in the raid?

About my personal ethical standpoint reg. pursuing reps as a hobby.

Meh, they know the stakes..... Anyway, i'd like to hear confirmation from a td as well...

Also, it seems cyclical, something like this happens, the natives get restless. The world keeps turning, reps keep getting sold.

I believe that is base on the market value of the gen watches.

By the way, i have search and read this news and this was happen on 29th of march. They only release the news to media a few days ago. But that doesn't mean the crackdown is over, i think they will still continue to hit on reps.......:thud:

its good for their business to make the customer think the product is dissapearing or harder to get.

I do business w china and they could give two shits about what is leaving as long as cash comes in

Jos said in an email over RWG: this is just a small factory, not relevant to "our factories".
So chill.

Chill? I bet you don't know what can really happen and you have not gone through the time when the crackdown last for few months with almost no movement at all from makers and dealers........

They know the risk,,,, they're doing it for the money,,, they'd do it regardless if we collect the watches that are produced or not,,, I'm not gunna stop eating pizza because the mafia is from Italy.....

Oh and BTW if you decide you just can't stand the thought of owning reps anymore pm me and I'll send you a address that disposes of reps and uses the metal to build nice houses for homeless puppies.....

I was fully aware of China having death penalty on the program in cases involving murder, drugs, weapons etc - sure, that's China for ya.

I guess I just did not have the imagination to see a capital punishment ever come into play for something as seemingly 'banal' as a violation of copyrights.

I honestly find that truly disturbing...
