Yea movement looks like a typical a2836 GMT.
Which means Tudor's new GMT movement has a wider-set date wheel placement than 2824 lineup.

a2836 GMT with datewheel overlay could be possible, but not sure if it can be done and still fit the current case dimensions. The height's gonna throw off stem placement.

ZF could use their modified 9015 models which have wider datewheels, but they are almost unserviceable timebombs, plus I don't think ZF has a GMT function for it yet.

This might be all that we're gonna get

I still think a clone Rolex GMT movement would be better

Surprised they didn't do a DWO to get the date in the correct position, or use a 3185 clone to get comparable functionality and date window placement. So frustrating to see an otherwise well done watch drop the ball in such an obvious way.

You cannot use a 3185/6 because that has an even closer-to-center date placement than 2824. It would mean the date window is even further left

It's fine if you can overlook the fact that the date window is not like gen - too far left.

It really looks pretty damn good overall. I’m going to buy the Black FXD sometime after CNY

It looks well made but the incorrect hand stack is making those hands float super high off the dial vs the gen. The gen has a very "flat" dial and hand stack (seems mostly because the 12 hour hand, bottom of the stack on the gen, can be super low as it is "inside" the markers so this decreased height, but the 24 hour hand is the lowest here and needs to be above the markers due to the length of the hand) hard to describe but it's very noticable when you hold the gen just how flat the dial is.

This is an AMAZING watch to have. I'm enjoying it thoroughly!!

Don't let the date window or ICHS be a deal breaker!!

I am interested in this too. Looks great, but I am curious about the fixed lugs/no springbars, right? So the only way you can wear it is on a nato?

I know CNY is most of Feb, but do you happen to know when most of the TD's are back?

Yes, you can only wear it on a NATO, and it needs to be one that fits through the fixed lugs (I know that Erika's Original MN Straps offers a dedicated FXD option as the regular strap can't be mounted on fixed lugs).
