This confirms my thoughts....looks like the original scam was build and pass off as genuine since it's so heavily modified it's unlikely to be spotted as a replica base unless a watchsmith performs a detailed inspection.Assuming its the same watch as this one :

I'm not overly familiar with these processes, but the date window looked close to the tachy also to my eyes as well as somewhat deep. I looked at other examples online and noted the gap was still present in the ones I looked at, also every one I looked at retained the AP logo on the dial vs the floating sticker he has on this one.

Also, of note, he was too willing to swap around movements which leads me to question what movement was really in there.
Depends who you ask - i can guarantee you 95% of "bussdowns" will never contain full genuine parts. Whether it be a fake bracelet, fake hands etc. As long as movement is genuine then it will always be a aftermarket/custom watch.
