Recently PBDAD showed a dssd w, DLC coating on all, grey bezel insert coloring, grey lume on all dial index/ hands & orange 2nd hand....Very Very Cool!

When Pb Dad gets back from vacation we're going to talk about it. Before that happens, I need to find a way to accomplish the insert coloring/fill that looks very professional.

If you're taking the time and trouble to do the AR then get the double sided.. i'm really excited about this project. I'd love to get in on this if possible.. maybe a group discount.

I would wear this all the time. As far as passing for Gen, I think it's fair to say that Rolex is one of THE most customized watch in the world.

I'd also point out that there are gen Rolex enthusiasts that are excited about the concept- I haven't heard any negative feedback from them yet. What I'm trying to say is that this is less likely to be called out than even a gen DSSD. It will never be seen on Canal Street, on any rep dealers site, and all the work is top notch- from the DLC to the customization of the bezel insert. This I'm making sure. Regarding the pearl, I'll probably have it customized so that it will be slightly different but still acceptable.

I'm not Joe Six-Pack or Owen Wilson. I am a successful business owner who can easily pass off wearing a Ploprof or a DSSD. I think you'd be very surprised at the variety of people that are members of this forum, and just how many actually own gen watches.

I might be the only one here but those colors are an overkill. They just make the watch look damn cheap. If you do all the other stuff (beadblasting, DLCing) and leave the colors aside, I think those watches will be pretty darn cool! If you like colors so much, I'd say just do the seconds hand in color. Now that'll be cool!
