Looking for your feedback on my custom DSSD project...

After a great deal of consideration, this is the final design. All I have to do now is wait for PB Dad to do the marker and hand painting and lume it. The crystal will be AR'd on the underside and the HEV sealed.

I think it gives the DSSD a look that brings it into the 21st century. Contemporary without being gaudy. Polished hands just aren't as easy to read as the orange ones in my opinion, but doing that made the watch look out of balance because the polished markers. Having them painted the same color as the hands seemed to be just enough to give the watch face the right balance without going overboard. I'm pleased with the last concept idea, no more changes (which should make PB Dad happy). 
PB Dad is having the single-sided AR done, and getting ready to finish the hands and markers. Shouldn't take too much longer to get it back and take some photos.
It's one thing to put a Ps together, another to see how the concept actually turns out. Once the photos get published, then people can decide if they'd like to have one made. I can't say enough how patient, helpful, and pleasant PB has been to work with.

Having looked at other projects from such modders as "fragment," the reluming concern was no longer an issue. The idea will be to
take the lume out to the edge which will ensure a nice round lume as well as making it easier to read for the visually impaired.
The bezel- that'll be lumed. I have extras in case I want to change it, but we'll see how it goes.

ThinkBach's I think you got some good feedback on this but in the end do what you want and you'll be happiest with the result. I can't imagine this is cheap best to go with your gut and what YOU find most appealing. Most of the suggestions were pretty cool for a project watch and worst case scenario if you end up not liking it SOMEONE will buy it from you so you can try again.

Its a boys town watch. If thats where he likes to hang out, more power to him. He is very sensitive and we need to support his decision to come out of the closet in style with his new bezels....
but seriously, he is very sensitive and insecure for a grown man and needs to be handled with kid gloves.
Those are very colorful Thinkbachs and everyone down at the manhole will absolutely love them.

We all thought it was over but apparantly not....
so I will clear the air one last time and let it end at that.
Thinkbachs blasted some poster on his new DSSD (one he was proud of nonetheless), I felt he crossed the line, so naturally I intervened and sent him home with his tail between his legs.
No one whos nice enough and takes the time out to post pics wants to hear that garbage.
I posted my response, it was all true, and after the call out, there was nothing more for him to say. I never intended for any kind of argument. A few posted in agreement of his very "sensitive" nature so we left it at that.
Move on.

c'mon man, sat knight? you're acting like a total child here. the comment from thinkbachs was perhaps not needed, but nevertheless true. there are a few flaws evenon the bk dssd, it's the truth- though I still think it's a great rep.
