anticipation is killing me. awaiting my clean rootbeer. my friend got the call and I will post a side by side pic for you guys.
I have a Clean root beer also and I noticed it took over 20 winds to get it to finally fire up. All my other reps/watches are about 10 turns and it's going.Hi guys, I love the rootbeer but I have a few things that I want to ask you.
First of all when the movement is fully unwind and I try to wind it from the crown, I can wind the crown 20-30times but the watch wont start untill I shake it. Is it like that with you guys. Also it is said that the thickness mist be 12mm but when I put it next to the clean daytona which should be around 12.5 the daytona is much smaller. It is just interesting to me if you guys have seen this things
My gen 16710 takes about 15 -16 turns before it gets going. There are times where it makes me think the movement is dead. LOL!I have a Clean root beer also and I noticed it took over 20 winds to get it to finally fire up. All my other reps/watches are about 10 turns and it's going.
That is ibteresting but I think once I did about 20 winds and still it didn’t started. But next time I wear it I will try to wind untill it starts to see how many will it need, and I will tell youI have a Clean root beer also and I noticed it took over 20 winds to get it to finally fire up. All my other reps/watches are about 10 turns and it's going.
If you want to change the xtal go gen, the difference between clean and deep isn't significantHello! I am interested in getting a rootbeer with the link below. Can anyone recommend other than deep crystal should I change anything?
also how does the rose gold strap compared to the gen? Thank you

All clean models? Or just this specific instance or recent releases? I would have to disagree in my experience, granted all over 6 months ago.If you want to change the xtal go gen, the difference between clean and deep isn't significant
Think you're right mate. Also I have been wondering about the movement in my Clean GMT Master II RG. The movement is labeled as 3285 and functions as it should however it appears, visually, like a 3185 or 86 and not like the 3285's I've seen. I will post a couple of pics of the movement in case someone can help me. Thanks.
The recent GMT-II subs. I have a clean Daytona and it needed a deep xtal swap but not my root beerAll clean models? Or just this specific instance or recent releases? I would have to disagree in my experience, granted all over 6 months ago.
Is that from clean factory? How is the rose gold color though is it similar to a gen. Any issue or changes is required after you had itIf you want to change the xtal go gen, the difference between clean and deep isn't significant
Yes the latest CF. I'm happy with it ootb gold color is pretty good and close to gen. I don't wear it often so not sure how it will hold up to regular use.Is that from clean factory? How is the rose gold color though is it similar to a gen. Any issue or changes is required after you had it
That's exactly what I was thinking. The crystals used by CF for Daytona's are not as clear as the ones they use for GMTs or Subs. I have a CF Sub-Date and the crystal is fine but my CF Daytona would definitely benefit from a swap. The recent GMT-II subs. I have a clean Daytona and it needed a deep xtal swap but not my root beer
Why would you get the 2836? I thought 3285 is the updated one. Thank youUnless you have someone who can work on the dd3285 movement for you I’d get the one with the 2836 movement. Just my humble opinion
I live in a small town and the watch repair shops aren’t familiar with all the different rep movements so they decline working on them. There’s waiting lists for over a year with the trusted watchmakers here on RWi. It’s not matter of if it’s a matter of when these reps breaks. You can’t buy new parts for a dd3285 and you can’t buy that movement. That can be a problem. Why would you get the 2836? I thought 3285 is the updated one. Thank you
