The 40mm looks huge on you. Would've thought that was 45mm version.

Got mine today after a veeery long month of waiting ( bloody triangle... ). It's a very very well made watch.

Nice looking watch, I think sweet spot would be 43mm, but @Therion666 I think the regular Pilot at 45mm would suit you better.

Thank you. My sweet spot is exactly 43mm, but I think the 45mm would look too big on my wrist, because it has a very thin bezel and it looks larger than its size would suggest.
I also got a Panerai PAM687 today, which is 47mm and I think it looks ridiculous..
My 42mm Avenger GMT is the perfect size for me:
The strap on the Zenith is not of proper size for me, I'm between holes and I just can't strap it on my wrist comfortably. I think it will go to M2M very soon. It's a shame though, because it's a very well made watch, it feels rock solid. And the movement seems to have a great PR, I just tried the watch on and gave it a few shakes and it's been running on the table for hours

Woah, that's tiny. I don't think I'd like it, even though it'll surely wear a little bigger than 40mm due to the dial and lack of bezel. Wrists shots are hard because in my opinion it's more about the size of the rest of the arm in comparison to the wrist.
I think the 45mm Pilot works for me because I have big arms from weightlifting. Otherwise, with a 6.75" wrist, it'd look goofy. That PAM looks too big on you, but I think the 45mm Pilot would likely look better. In my opinion, that first shot you provided makes the watch look small. I think you could easily rock the 45mm. But if it makes you feel uncomfortable, that's another story and stick with the 40mm.

I'm a pretty huge person myself too and I like big watches. But the style of the regular 45mm Zenith pilot is too common for me. I like the Ton up, but it's a poor rep in my opinion. I'll keep this one for a couple of days and see if it grows on me, I simply love the design. I think it would benefit from a new strap, a lovely beefy aged leather NATO would be a perfect choice.
