Was pretty AWOL yesterday until late on, Friday night it was showering with rain right until early hours over my freshly laid concrete base (4.8 m x 2,4m x 100mm) Hadn't covered the bugger because it was glorious weather with no bloody rain forecast, went to hot tub and then bed early.
I think it has survived as early yesterday morning the rain was getting heavier so I got soaked rushing to build a tent structure outta a few 4x2's and a long metal bar, luckily I also had a huge poly sheet, so I had it covered before the rain turned to absolutely pissing down
Woke to sunshine early this morning and clear skies atm, so I removed all the tent shit and re brushed it, only the very last mix in the corner is still a little soft but the rest has dried enough to carefully walk on it , worst case I think is may have to do a thin pour of levelling compound depending what kinda flooring my wee angel wants to put in it
I'll leave it the fuck alone now, and will have a definitive answer by Tuesday

I'm not a builder even though I've built a fair few buildings including my block built 2 storey workshop, hot tub wet room extension at this house, several garages, loads of sheds, a double garage size car paintwork booth, heated and filtered positive pressure with variable speed extract system and even the 40ft x 16ft 2 bedroom 2 bathroom log cabin you see next to our hoose in the picture.
When I say I built them, I mean from foundations, drainage, plumbing and electrical wiring, roofing, doors, windows, stud walls, kitchens, bathrooms etc etc yak yak yak
The only things I never did was painting and decorating, up until a couple of years ago, I've now also started doing exterior paintwork, the problem up here is finding decent tradesmen
There are the odd few who are very good, but they tend to be all busy building houses and selling them, any others are either bodge it, overcharge and scarpers or piss heads who say they will turn up but never do because the pub is more important![]()
Was out to lunch on Saturday and the guy at the next table was rocking a Pan like that, my guess it was gen, they usually are around here!Update:-
