Aside from going on a Christmas grub, beer and "Bear / Minxie" treats spree on Saturday coming I have finished all my Christmas stuff, and just got the rear door on the Car port to hang and clad.
Yesterday I did a big round trip and visited all my regular local customers, both trade and retail, and gave them their annual Christmas Boxes, Card and Booze for the other garages and fleet owners, and Card with a 5lt Screenwash, 2 x De-Icer sprays and a Scraper for the loyal retail customers.
It's just something I've always done in all my years in the Motor Trade, and they appreciate it just as much as I appreciate their business throughout the year
So that left me with a bit of time yesterday afternoon to check out Mels wee Ford Fusion for it's forthcoming MOT and it is fine, changed the Oil and Filter, and nothing else needed, so I got to looking into the new Display Cabinet.
I have now bought 2 cabinets same as the one I got, plan is to build one large Cabinet outta the 2 and when that's finished I will add the existing cabinet so I triple my 50 watch capacity to 150.
I've also the lighting for it, will also be able to fit at least 1 extra shelf per Cabinet as the spacing in the existing one isn't perfect, so that then adds another 30 giving a total capacity of around 180 watches.
Hopefully I will get all the bits before New Year and be able to build it all up exactly how I want it
I will likely put the sub display of the 2 Rotating Rolex vs Omega Deepsea Challenge watches on the top of the whole chebang this time, as they don't get worn that often, so I won't need to stretch up to reach the top shelf of the Cabinet, which will be almost at ceiling level.
If I ever get to the point I've filled this new one up, l think the next option will be a full on "fitted triple wardrobe" size cabinet with glass shelves and glass sliding doors, music, and a monitor screen displaying a slideshow of every watch in sequence, naked dancing girls, exotic cars etc etc
