i have a firm belief that vintage rolex lovers are lovers of natos :)

i have been waiting eagerly for a nato project by a fellow WUS member - nato strap is made from same material as what omega has (seatbelt material)

he should be selling them end august-early september :)

Damn that watch it nice. Which version?

I believe it is a Puretime since it has the plastic retainer for the bezel. I got it M2M for $30 cause it didn't work. Opened it up and it had an o-ring loose in the movement. Runs great now. I took it apart and cleaned it, drilled the lugs and did some softening of the case. Plexi was in bad shape so I wet sanded and polished it. Someone had aged the dial and insert so I just touched those up a bit. Funny I think this looks the best of all my vintage subs.

Real vintage. My father's 1958 Elgin on the original band. My reason for liking old watches.

Rich I will join in with another Dad's vintage watch. Here is my Dad's 1974 Omega Constellation. I was with my mom in Geneva the day she bought it at Bucherer Boutique.

It's a HR dial ;)

It really is stunning. I assume that pebbly effect comes from misting the dial with lacquer. I think I'll try that.
