I got to get me one of these!
Did you get the clasp issue lined out?

Hey Rudy,

Sure did. Dive extension is now out and I installed a regular link in it's place. Glidelock works perfectly!

Great to hear!
I was hoping it wasn't a permanent issue!
Great looking watch for sure!
How is the over all feel and heft of this watch?
And have you took a pair of calipers and check the specs of it vs gen ?

I haven't measured any of the watch dimensions but I would imagine it's pretty much up to par with gen specs. Chiman over on RG fitted a gen dial and bezel assembly and it wasn't a challenge at all for him.

Some photos for you...

I adjusted the fliplock. This entire watch feels gen, bracelet I can't even begin to explain....best $450 i've ever spent on a rep.

Beautiful watch. Guys I have a Gen insert and have a noob v3 pearl. Is there anyone who can help me install this pearl on to the gen insert. I don't want to do it myself and crack the insert

^^ try pbdad,or if you want to have a crack at it yourself you can either file the sides of the pearl peg until thin enough or you will need a rat tail file small enough to fit the hole on the insert and file it out until the peg fits.I'm pretty sure a guy here did this a couple of years ago with a tiny file he picked up off eBay

did u buy that gen insert missing the pearl from a guy from uk on ebay a while back.as i bought the other one he had for sale without pearl.the pearl stem was still stucknin the pearl hole.

You need to sand the bottom of the v3 pearl stem until flat, then glue pearl onto insert.or drill a bigger hole then glue in then no sanding needed but will probably crack the ceramic.
If the hole in the insert still has the stem from the old gen pearl, removing it will probably crack the insert, maybe use a soldering iron to remove it.or if you can't do that you will need to sand the pearl flat ,and drill a hole on the bottom of the pearl and glue the pearl over the stem.the pearl is very very easy to crack ,as the lume is filled even at the foot of the pearl housing.its a very difficult job without damaging the pearl or insert,so i sold mine and bought another but brand new with full assembly ,good luck

the size of the v3 pearl peg is 5 times bigger than the hole in the gen insert,a rat file will not work.the gen ceramic insert is probably only 2mm thick.rep insert is 5 times thicker,so damaging the gen insert is so easy.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if your on the fence about getting one of these just do it! You won't regret it, as long as you get one with a good pearl, tight SEL and clean clasp.

Hasn't been off my wrist in 2 weeks.

totally awesome - my first Rolex, gen or rep.

Now, if they will only make a 116600 to go with it...
