Just got my QC from a TD for the 3KF 5711. Was very much surprised about the old-style dial with the non-boxed logo.
Is this potentially a new batch? It looks like a step back to me; the crown is sticking out like a wart and the bezel seems very thick (again). Am I seeing things? Looking forward to your impressions:

I don't think it's worse than an average stock 3KF rep. Maybe you can find a better but most probably used one on an M2M sale.

You can order the 3kf with either the box'd logo or non-box'd, so that's not an indication.

The crown and bezel are tough to tell from pictures. Might as well ask for a box'd logo version and see what you get.

That crown is sticking out because it isn't screwed in, they usncrewed it so they probably could set the time and stuff...

I have a question - how does the movable first link "mod" works? I have it done on my modded 3K 5711 and I want to buy the new bracelet with new clasp. Will I lose the first link mod when I replace the bracelet?

Why not just replace clasp? I think they're interchangable no issue

My bracelet is a little scratched up, also I want to swap it for a PPF bracelet as they're made a bit better.

Hey guys,

Looking at buying the 3kf 5711 white dial due to some posts here where the crown and bezel looks better on the latest version. Less protrusion on the crown and less thick bezel.

However I see that some TDs, repgeek for example, has a 3kf “V3” listed. While trustytime, intime and puretime only has a V2 listed?

Is the newest, better version, the v3 or is it the same version when for example Andrew sources the watch.

The mod is to the bracelet rather than the main body of the watch. It consists of gently sanding the lower edge of the first link at the point where it meets the case. It's pretty simple overall but care needs to be taken to not overdo it and to ensure both ends of the bracelet are sanded the same amount.

If you get a new bracelet you'll need the mod done again.
