I'm looking forward to getting mine in and waterproofed. First outing will be to Galveston or Kema, TX for a little salt air and water interaction.

How do you get it waterproofed? links?

no, it won't. there will still be sceptics saying things like "yea right, the factory must had bribed the guy, or the lab, or some shxt like that."

there was a metallurgical analysis provided by angus long time ago, but ppl still doubting it *shrug* did anyone question about Ti or 316L SS watches? don't think so.

as for buffedupboy, confirming it's indeed 100% brass & rose gold plated by just looking at it really isn't credible.

like others said, haters gonna hate...

Yeah this should be the way to go!
Now let us settle and squash the doubts, the beef, and the wrong rumors!

I just squeezed a bunch of ketchup over and under the watch and let it sit for 20 minutes. Then wash it with soap and sometimes toothpaste and rinse it under the tap. I have done this for several rounds already and there is absolutely no problem regarding the water-proof ability of the watch. Then again, i can only speak for my own ZF pam382.

I just want to say that I have handled quite a bit of bronze and brass items I regularly sell antiques and I come in contact quite a bit. The people calling these brass with rose gold plating are demonstrating ignorance. Brass does not patina nearly as quick as these watches are nor does the patina on brass look like the patina that bronze acquires. And rose gold plating does not get this patina either. These watches I am certain are a bronze alloy. Now if it's the same exact copper tin mixture as gen well I doubt it but it's close enough by rep standards. Furthermore the maker would be a fool to try and pass off brass. It just would already be obvious because the patina would not be happening at this point. Not even to mention they would only be saving maybe $2 per watch between the added alloy cost and higher failure rate.

And now, what is the purpose of this post? Undermining the KW release? I did not buy ZFac version mainly because I saw how watches are developing "weird" patinas. And this is coming from experienced bronze handler as well. Bottom line is, ZFac rushed their release with unknown alloy that based on my observation is way off the bronzo (not even mile away from gen). I don' t expect to be gen like alloy at all, but there's thin line between chargin people over $$500 for something that visually resembles bronze material. I'm only hoping that Mehmet's release will be satisfactory for the avreage wannabe bronzo owner. You can be sure I'm looking forward to it.

Why is every post some sinister business ploy? I'm undermining the KW release?? I'm stating that I think both watches are bronze. And I don't have the ZFac watch but I'm positive it's bronze. In fact I just sent KW an email to pre order his. But bronze patinates in different ways depending on the environment it's in.

Of course, we are all been there at some point of our lifes. Nonetheless, lets let it slide, sit tight and wait. I'm sure that time will tell ( not John per say :hehehe: ) which release has better bronze alloy after all.

"watch completely ready excluding bezel's pearl, pearl's ring lume and movement holder will change so please don't care that problems also we will update pictures with Gen. pam382 before shipping date."
