KW PAM 505 finally! [QC Pics Allowed]

Hi,

Have anybody gotten a PAM 505 recently? I just received QC pictures and TD say KW now using 7750 movement instead of Seagull. The balance wheel is now at 11 instead of 6 o'clock position. Anybody care to to comment on this? Thanks.

Got one last week. Fantastic looking watch. Not sure why are you concerned about the balance wheel position - one incorrect position was replaced with another one, somewhat more incorrect position, so who cares? Neither is going to fool anyone who knows anything about P9000 regardless of BW position, there are enough bigger tells on the movements that you should be concerned about if that's bothering you those who know nothing about P9000 would probably be rather impressed by all the wheels, engravings and darkened glass...treat it as a good rep with interesting attempt at mimicking the movement but in no way close to the original...

This is a previous version fitted with 7750, latest version are fitted with Seagull?

Was thinking that all PAM505O KW were with Seagull and 7750 is just a error in the details infos...

Thanks for clarifying. I guess i was confused because the PAM Guide actually mentioned that the 1st Rep movement was made with AA7750 and subsequently the July 2013 release was with Seagull movement. Kuvarsit website still list the movement as Seagull albeit out of stock.

Anyway agree that the Rep still doesn't look like the Gen (obviously!). :

First replicas were made with A7750
First batch of PAM 505 and 388 produced by KW were fitted with Seagull movements.
In PAM 388 second batch KW has already applied A7750
I expect new batch of PAM 505 will be released with A7750

Trust me I have friend who own Gen Pam (111, 176, 183) but not those with P9000 Cal.
He roughly follow Pams trend but not into depth study like what we do.
I shown him my KW 505.
He flip over stared at the movt and ask isnt this the in house movt by Panerai ?
I said yes.
"Dude this is one hell of a sweet watch."

The case finishing is extremely refine... I was at Hamilton roadshow and I find no sub $1000 has such case finishing as the KW 505..

Just one question regarding the PAM388 and 505 - there are still Rev1 out there, would you advise to get a Rev1 (and with it possibly new screws!?) with the seagull or go for a Rev2 with the 7750.

I don't care for the position of the balance wheel too much (as someone else said, both positions were incorrect, so it does not matter for me), but i read that in general the seagull is more accurate and more reliable rep movement !?

Unless you find a v1 over m2m, this is a moot question. The v1's are out of stock pretty much everywhere.

Nowadays KW is very known for making PAM replicas extremely well finished, with a great care for details and very good gen-like appearance. Leaving aside some inaccuracy mistakes in few reps you cannot go wrong with KW reps.

Where can I find the v1 ?
In kuvarsit website, there seems only v1 available out sale (but out of stock)..

I purchased on kw myself. The seconds hand has some white patches from the side view. Of course only if you look closely then be able to spot it. Is this normal? Or my is a lemon?
