SOG flash 2 is a great knife. Take a look at the kershaw compound as well.

I'm a huge Cold Steel fan....especially their "Voyager" model....I've been carrying this exact knife in my pocket for the last 5 years.

One of the best knifed I've ever owned - Emerson Karambit

It's not mention to stab - but instead it is razor sharp and mention to cut tendons and disable.

Ie - you go to punch - I block and circle cut your elbow area. (easy to do because of the talon shaped blade).

It also has a pocket open (that little horn thing on the back of the blade). You put your pointer finger into the ring on the back side and pull up - the pocket open catches and snaps the blade out - you're ready to go :p

This ought'a boost the post count. I've got a fairly large collection of all kinds of knives. Let's start with one of my favorites, a Zero Tolerance 0301...

"Currently", yes. G10 scales, good steel (8Cr13MoV), liner lock, weighs 4 oz., very quick to deploy one handed and "shaving" sharp. Plus, it costs $30 instead of the nearly $300 you'd spend for a Zero Tolerance, thus the "every day". I can use it in an emergency as well as cut cord, open boxes etc;.

Mind you, I've got A LOT of knives. ;)

I've been carrying knives since I was a little boy. :)

I'm a fan of Spyderco's. I carry a Grey Endura 4, combo edge most of the time. It replaced my Spyderco/LUM tanto shown above it. The tanto has become one of the most sought after Spyderco models ever made, and I would hate to lose it so it's retired from EDC use.

If I'm not carrying the endura, i'm carrying a CRKT M16-01KZ. I recently damaged my Spyderco tenacious, so the CRKT replaces it as my true EDC beater.

Sold my carbon fiber Military.. Great knife but it just sat. The value was going up and I don't truly collect, so I cashed in.

AB Coltellerie, switchblade

And my biggest blade, a Musashi Bamboo Katana. This is a true deferentially tempered live blade (A real [dangerous] katana, not a flea-market wall hangar). Between you, me and the wall.. this thing makes me more nervous than my guns. I've not done any tameshigiri (test cutting) with it.

Another of my favorites...

Emerson CQC8. The blade style was made famous during the Vietnam War as the "banana knife". The Emerson version was, at one time, the preferred folder of the British SAS.

I think that constitutes your choices philly. The current version is a "sprint run"; sort of a limited, one time only release. The model P4GTR has, with the G10 scales, was discontinued over 5 years ago. If you can find one, it will command a steep price as Mr. Lum passed away in December of 2007.

Funny, I was going to start a thread like this, hoping to see some cool knives. Somebody beat me to it!

My collection's nothing fancy, but here are some of my faves:

P1000022.jpg

Remington from the 50's, hard chrome plated by me and ground to a pretty good edge by a pro. Leather wrapped handle, 6 1/4":

P1000026.jpg

P1000027.jpg

I bought this on The Oregon coast from the guy who made it. Orange wood handle, full tang. You hunters know the shape:

My only tactical knife from CRKT. Crawford designed, assisted opening, sharper than hell:

P1000025.jpg

Old school Gerber Folding Sportsman from the 70's. Brass and walnut handle, 3 3/4" blade:

Van Hoy Snap Lock, also from CRKT. Fun knife, 2 1/2":
