So it looks like BP has recently released a whole bunch of 5 digit Subs. I use TSWatch a lot to look around and then send the link of a watch I want to my TD. TSWatch is NOT a TD, do not buy from them as they sell PWS only (Purchase Without Service) meaning once they ship they are off the hook. Lost, stolen, seized, DOA, whatever it's your baby. But they have arguably the best collection of currently available reps, each with plenty of good pics. If a watch is no longer available, they quickly remove it from their website.

Here's the link I sent to my TD

The watch arrived today. I like it a lot, I will probably get another with a different dial, maybe FG, maybe SS. YES they have a 5 digit SS. Look around on TSW at Sub BP, you can find them all. Perfectionists will nit pick it to death I'm sure but for under $300 it's a solid rep that can scratch a lot of 5 digit itches.

Here's some pics

A couple of flaws right off the bat - the insert is a nice flat 4 TT but it came to me with some paint flaking off around the 25 mark. I thought it was dust and used some rodico on it and more paint came off. So I'll be looking for a replacement insert soon. Maybe a one-off or a bad batch, IDK.

BP never gives enough links, this is no exception. The bracelet is an accurate 93250 with the correct quick release extension link setup. However this forces you to leave 2 entire links housed in the clasp and there was NO WAY to configure it to make it fit my 7.25" wrist without using an SS clasp link from a spare I had. You can see in the next pic where those two links reside and how much shorter the bracelet would be if using that arrangement. I have a bracelet puller and will be pulling the extension link apart, so I should be able to replace the SS add-on with one of the TT links when it's done. I didn't want to get into that right away - I was too pissed that I couldn't wear it right away without jury rigging it.

Hi KJ, you have a beautiful watch and i am trying to source one. Can you please share who your TD is? I have been in touch with one and he has quoted me $319 for A2836 movement saying its V2. Are there any versions of this watch?

Go to TSWATCH, copy the link to the watch you want. Use the drop down menu to choose the 2836 movement which will change the price for the watch on the screen. Take a screenshot with the movement and price visible and send it to any TD with the link. I've never had a TD not match price from a competitor's website.

It looks pretty much like the rest of them, a decent offering. I've been very happy with my two so far. One thing to note however and I've been meaning to comment on this. These BP models have date windows, cyclops, and datewheels that are shifted 1mm to the right of gen spec dials. I had always sensed that "something was a little off" but it didn't fully dawn on me til I had one apart and saw that there's no DWO. Everything lines up with the native ETA datewheel position (which is also native to the DG2813/DG3804 BTW). They've used a Rolex font DW, so there's no issue there, but it won't take a gen spec crystal or DW for example because of the dial date window cutout. By the same token, if you wanted to change the dial, you would also need a DWO and a new crystal (or move the cyclops).

This is not a dealbreaker for me, I just chalk it up as another rep flaw and factor it into my policy of liking my reps for what they are and not disliking them for what they aren't. I wanted others to know about this if they didn't. A previous poster commented about this by simply stating "date window location", to which another member replied "under the cyclops", lol. This is not the first time I've seen Rolex reps like this, I didn't really understand why. As with most products I'm sure it comes down to cost and production time. With this arrangement there's no need for a DWO.

Thanks for the heads up bro! With all this important information you've mentioned all I have now is one question left, did you happen to measure the dial diameter is it around the 27mm/27.4mm diameter for insure gen dial fitment!

Just sent a message to KS, he's not particularly happy about sourcing these due to the quality of the lower price reps and higher typical rejection rate.

Will try Ryan instead and post pictures if successful.

Nothing to do with the margins in lower price reps then eh?

I probably wouldn't bother with the hassle tbh either if that was me.

^exactly. This thread seems to suggest that the quality of these reps at this price point is actually good.

The BP SeaDweller is at this price point and recognised as one of the best OOTB reps available. If you think price always = better in this game you’re mistaken. Furthermore, if KJ2020 says they’re decent, they’re decent.

Sad that the markup is so high on reps now that TD's don't even want to source reasonably priced reps anymore. I accepted both of mine on first QC.
