Nice purple-y dial too. What movement have you got inside that one? Will that be one of you or available for UK stock? If the latter I would certainly be interested following our previous email.

It looks pretty much like the rest of them, a decent offering. I've been very happy with my two so far. One thing to note however and I've been meaning to comment on this. These BP models have date windows, cyclops, and datewheels that are shifted 1mm to the right of gen spec dials. I had always sensed that "something was a little off" but it didn't fully dawn on me til I had one apart and saw that there's no DWO. Everything lines up with the native ETA datewheel position (which is also native to the DG2813/DG3804 BTW). They've used a Rolex font DW, so there's no issue there, but it won't take a gen spec crystal or DW for example because of the dial date window cutout. By the same token, if you wanted to change the dial, you would also need a DWO and a new crystal (or move the cyclops).
This is not a dealbreaker for me, I just chalk it up as another rep flaw and factor it into my policy of liking my reps for what they are and not disliking them for what they aren't. I wanted others to know about this if they didn't. A previous poster commented about this by simply stating "date window location", to which another member replied "under the cyclops", lol. This is not the first time I've seen Rolex reps like this, I didn't really understand why. As with most products I'm sure it comes down to cost and production time. With this arrangement there's no need for a DWO.
hey man may i ask you something?
if i were to order a BP dial 16610 LV and wanted to mount it on a JF 16610 LV, together with a gen DW, would it fit? correct me if i'm wrong but i had known till now that BP's dials were better for this reference, but now i just read about the difference in size, will that be a problem for aligning gen DW and BP dial on a JF 16610 LV?
The BP dial cutout on these models is shifted 1mm right of where the cutout is on a gen spec dial. I believe the BP dial would fit in the JF case, but no matter what movement you used the gen DW numbers would not align with the dial date window. Also the cyclops on the JF crystal will be set 1mm left of the BP dial date window cutout.
There is a watch currently for sale on M2M just like you described, you probably saw it.

The dial on the one for sale has a date cutout window that is NOT shifted like these new models. You can see the difference in the pic below (mine on the bottom)
OK after I posted the last msg I realized that the JF uses a 3135 only, and the BP can be bought that way. There 3135 dial would not have a shifted date cutout as they don't use an overlay. So you *should* be able to do want you want by using a BP 3135 dial.
Seeing this one for sale triggered my recollection of the different movements available on these BP models. I buy ETAs usually, so I was referring to them regarding the shifted date window cutout.

i see, thank you for your answer, so the only way is to go for the "old" BP dial right? i wonder if it's possible to source one of those
Right so summary.
BP dial for 3135 movement - DW cut out in gen location. Can be swapped onto other 3135 movement watches.
BP dial for Eta movement - DW shifted 1mm right.
Just approved my QC pick for my Kermit from Sead, should have it on Monday.
Looks great - noticed the date window looks a bit square on all of them though?
no pics - tiny pic is not a thing anymore, and picr me or whatever is still shagged.
The date window is a little less rectangular on the 2836 and 2813 models yes because of there being no DWO and using the native datewheel position. It's not that noticeable IMO.

Gen 2007 vs BP cheapo
BP case is very nice....gold colour is essentially on point.
The pearl, hour hand and DW are hideous

Damn that gen's a beauty bro. The pearl I got was much nicer than that one, but my insert paint was flaking. I've replaced the insert, and transplanted the BP pearl as it was much better than the one on the new insert.
