Sorry to hear that mate.

Trip had some trouble getting the stem out so I decided to sell it and buy it again. The watch is fine as is and a small loss is better than fiddling around trying to get parts

These things happen man, although I’ve not had that one happen before. Trips kindly offered to do the works again for me, so I’ve ordered one from Marv again.

Wow!
I just ordered this one from Nemboscorner.
I guess I paid too much ... oh well i'll still enjoy it for that 70s vibe.
Maybe I'll put it on a wide strap like this guy .... although I doubt i can make it look that cool ....

even though as per that great reference site that KJ2020 put up way above this one should not read "Daytona" in red above the 6 o'clock subdial ...
(too much information is always such a mood killer ....)

This replacement watch is costing me a fortune.

Funded by bitcoin account through Bitstamp on Monday. By the time the funds hit my account they had dropped from €250 to $190...then I transferred everything I had kicking around in exchanges I don't really use...now I'm over €260 down...so I transferred the $230 in btc on Friday, now it's hit Marv's account and it's worth $220 fml haha

These bitcoin posts have really confirmed for me that it’s something I don’t want to touch! I wondered how risky it was... And I’m finding out from a bunch of recent horror stories related here on RWI.

Thankfully M does WU and my last purchase incurred a charge of about £3 from them, I think!

Joy of purchasing in (dealing with really) crypto

I had one go with it once with some new etherum coins, buying off tips from
Some guys who I knew were into it, I came out up and earlier than others but wouldn’t bother again. It’s just like roulette, I saw lots of greedy people loose loads.

Just deal in dollars and lose money the old fashioned way: continuous currency devaluation by the Federal Reserve, ECB, and their billionaire investment bank partners!

Let's not forget PayPal exchange rates. Bloody crooks... Oh, plus their conversion fee on top of that. They should be stoned.
