Yeah, thanks, I thought so. I already did, but apparently things are not moving in China at the moment, for obvious reasons. The reason I asked is because I got a price quote from a member, who has bought his from MR. Let's say, that it was the kind, that would get your add in M2M nuked in a second. This place is not what it used to be..

Yeah, me too. I got a generous offer from a member for 250€ (276$).. It's scalper's season I guess.. Oh well.. I'll just wait for things in China to get back in order, I have all the time in the world and soooo many other watches to prey on in M2M

He’s aging the stock dial and hands, doing some polish + Rebrush case work for that used look.

he’s also slimming the watch too, bezel and case back I think. He said parts of it is glued together, bezel being one of them, haha cheap reps. Are there any slimmer sub dial hands for the ST that will look better than stock

hmm strnge then. when i buildedd my 6270 nothing was glued on the JKF

He dropped the movement and had to soak the case in surgical alcohol to get rid of it all, melted some of the xtal as that was glued too. New one is on order.

Slimmed the bezel ring and mid case. said watch will be around 13mm thick now

Nice! The Alpha hands look great. What modifications were required in order to make the GEN spec pushers work with the ST-19 movement (assuming you stuck with the stock movement)?

This is my first vintage rep piece, I’ve had a couple low end Gen vintage.

so it made sense starting with something more budget friendly, my main aim with sending it to trip was to try make it look legitimately vintage but well looked after. I know these cheap reps are flawed in the details.

I Think he’s done a very nice job with what I wanted.

Softened the case and rebrushed
Added patina to hands and lume plots
Gave the dial a tropical sepia hue
Slimmed mid case and bezel ring
new xtal

Watch is 13.5mm now
He said the Gen was 13.4mm albeit slightly different in proportion

Not a huge Daytona fan, but that is gorgeous. Perfectly aged and absolutely looks the part.
