It's stock old JKF.

The one I have on order from M has the new, slightly smaller subdials - so that none are touching the chapter ring, like the bottom one does on the one in today's photo. They changed it from the previous version (the one I bought M2M, pictured above). But I wasn't concerned because I planned to fit a VN dial. I'm not sure you'll still find this older one with the bottom subdial touching the chapter ring, unless it's M2M.

Here's a QC pic showing the dial of the latest JKF. They've reduced the size of the subdials so that none of them touch the outer black chapter ring:

It fixes one visual problem, but creates a new one as the subdials are now noticeably smaller. But I haven't got the watch yet - I'm interested to see how they compare side by side.

It’s the last jkf, with smaller subdials.
I like very much by the way, I prefer to old dials.
Ah right - sorry I looked back through the thread and couldn’t find it, which was why I asked. So it’s just like my QC pic then. :)

Well, now that you ask... I thought this one was exactly the same as the QC pics of the one I ordered from Marv. But it's not. The Daytona text is also floating on the new dial. I'm not sure it's an improvement overall, but would probably be OK if not next to something different.

Next to the gen, the newer version doesn't stack up so well

Yeah, it looks like they changed the subdial size but are still using the same printing pad, so the Daytona text is in the same position on the dial as the old version.

That was my opinion too. I only bought a new one because the dial is being replaced anyway - otherwise I wouldn't bother because the dimensions of the dial elements are so far off.

Have a pic of your replacement dial?

Wow that's a beauty bro. I need to make one of these. Are you documenting the build anywhere? Things like dial feet positions and subdial pinion placements etc would be of interest to many.
Thanks KJ - I picked it up M2M here and it wasn't too pricey. I haven't even thought about starting a build blog yet, but I probably will (still waiting for the donor watch to arrive). Obviously the blog will go on endlessly and never finish, in the same style anyone familiar with my Milk case 1675 build blog will already be aware of.

The dial feet are already gone on this one, so I'll be epoxying it onto new feet (with the feet clamped in the movement).

Well these are cute as a button!
As per Hodinkee, The Rolex Cosmograph Oyster Reference 6263 with a Panda Paul Newman dial is, how do I say this... perfect? Yes, that's it. The Panda 6263 is the most desired, most beautiful, and most expensive standard Paul Newman Daytona around. Who am I to argue? And yes i know it shouldn't say "DAYTONA" and the subdials are too small but do I care? As I don'tt have $300k-more likelh a milllion at the moment, fools money etc- or so to spend on the real thing so all the 1970s coolness and good time telling, and yay! no wear and tear!

Now I "need" that Pre-Daytona that KJ2020 started the thread off with ..... and maybe a red hand for that!

And a "real" Paul Newman tricolor .... and a "controversial" lemon dial ..... oh dear ....

I doubt that a KJ dial can be bought separately, but you could try M at Marvellous Replica. Or keep an eye on the M2M parts sections on the rep forums. I recently picked up a good as new PN for £100.

If you're after a PN dial, I'll have one spare when I get my donor JKF and get into swapping out the dial for my VN (as posted above).

Hi Everyone
I'm Iain based in the UK.
This has been a really interesting read. Thanks to all those that have contributed to it.

Can anyone confirm if the 7750 cartel/JKF have asymmetrical pushers? I've been looking at a silver dial 6263 with acrylic bezel, but have got to thinking they are symmetrical.
I might have to go with the cartier V75 as the pushers definitely look asymmetrical on that - unless I can find a non-cartier silver dial version? (I've been looking on Andrew's site for a potential purchase.)

If anyone can give me any insight on that before I pop for one that would be much appreciated. Alternatively if anyone in UK/Europe is looking to sell one that fits the bill, I'm all ears.
Regards
