Why? What am I looking for?Look at my 6263 just arrived, some posts before your.

Ah right - sorry I looked back through the thread and couldn’t find it, which was why I asked. So it’s just like my QC pic then. It’s the last jkf, with smaller subdials.
I like very much by the way, I prefer to old dials.
Well, now that you ask... I thought this one was exactly the same as the QC pics of the one I ordered from Marv. But it's not. The one I have on order from M has slightly smaller subdials - so that none are touching the chapter ring, like the bottom one does on the one in today's photo. The latest JKF version has these smaller subdials - they changed it from the previous version. But I wasn't concerned because I planned to fit a VN dial. I'm not sure you'll still find this older one with the bottom subdial touching the chapter ring, unless it's M2M.
Here's a QC pic showing the dial of the latest JKF. They've reduced the size of the subdials so that none of them touch the outer black chapter ring:
It fixes one visual problem, but creates a new one as the subdials are now noticeably smaller. But I haven't got the watch yet - I'm interested to see how they compare side by side.
Yeah, it looks like they changed the subdial size but are still using the same printing pad, so the Daytona text is in the same position on the dial as the old version. The Daytona text is also floating on the new dial.
That was my opinion too. I only bought a new one because the dial is being replaced anyway - otherwise I wouldn't bother because the dimensions of the dial elements are so far off.Next to the gen, the newer version doesn't stack up so well

Have a pic of your replacement dial?

Thanks KJ - I picked it up M2M here and it wasn't too pricey. I haven't even thought about starting a build blog yet, but I probably will (still waiting for the donor watch to arrive). Obviously the blog will go on endlessly and never finish, in the same style anyone familiar with my Milk case 1675 build blog will already be aware of.Wow that's a beauty bro. I need to make one of these. Are you documenting the build anywhere? Things like dial feet positions and subdial pinion placements etc would be of interest to many.
I doubt that a KJ dial can be bought separately, but you could try M at Marvellous Replica. Or keep an eye on the M2M parts sections on the rep forums. I recently picked up a good as new PN for £100.Beautiful pics! do you know guys from where i can source Kj dial?
PN dial is the dial with smaller subdials right?
No the PN duals are the "exotic dials" with the small indices and the funny fonts.
