legend said the same thing. It may have been the lighting, here’s a daylight pic. haven’t had change to take plastic off yet.

My date font isn’t the new one though. Not that I’m worried, I’d rather the good dial print which I got lucky with along with this brushing.

mate your brushing is definitely an upgrade, they never use to look like that. Your dial is also amazing, you got real lucky on this one.

I have just received QC pics from my dealer for a 15400 V3 blue and would like a little advise from you AP experts. I've extensive knowledge in many other brands but this is my first AP so I'm on the fence at the moment with a few minor faults, the first which seems to be a fairly common fault on these is indices alignment, the 12 o'clock ones have a bit of an angled gap at the bottom! only minor but has anyone tried to adjust them? I'm guessing they are glued with two pins but do they tweak easy? has anybody tried this? the second is the date alignment and the font, I only got given a pic of 11 so don't know if its the newer date font but it's a bit low also, I may ask for some more dates, this could probably be adjusted but still it's not on most others I've seen. Dial printing is not the greatest to my eyes ether, especially the swiss made and timegrapher readings aren't great either at +16.2 a day, so as you would imagine all the minor things together add up, I've a large collection already so have no room for box queens and may not wear it if its not right, what do you guys think?

New updated DW font. - everything else is spot on - no need for any refinements IMHO

Ok thanks Tigerdragon, here's a close up of the 12 indices and date font, just the 16.2 + a day really!, not sure if I can be bothered to get it serviced right away...

The Biggest flaw with the V3 is the Thickness right? is there any other bigger flaw? I heard something about a V4 soon?

No plan for a v4 release at the moment according to TD's

Regulation and date wheel alignment aren't really a big issue but the gap in the 12 indices are just visible (when you know they are there! :) ) when scaled to correct wrist size, if they could be nipped together.... I'm surprised no one has tried this as it's a common issue with the 12 and 3 indices..

Thanks Tigerdragon, I thought they were a tad faint but they don't look too bad in this shot:

Do you think I could find a better example?

Thickness yes but when it’s on your wrist. I thought nkbthe biggest tell is the dial. The more and more I look at all theee color dials, it’s become an instant tell for me. The tapestries are flatter and not 3d like.

V2 have deeper tapestries than gen. When I got v2 I wished they were flatter.
Gen tapestries actually look pretty flat. V3 looks quite good. I’m not sure how much closer they can get to gen.

the date wheel is a tell that it is a rep.

Agreed, I got very lucky. Hopefully this isn’t just a batch thing I’d happily buy another if it was like this. If I had the new DW I would have had the ultimate v3. I’m amazed at how well finished it is.

Resized and washed it last night, look how it catches the light

It would appear so. Seriously tho the 1.x mm extra is lost on the wrist. I wouldn’t bother having it thinned myself.
