I think I need to take the sticker out by now but I am not ready ;)

Seriously, i have self diagnosed myself as I have three jf 15400s (one from each color). : I have a serious addiction !!!

Not too surprising for a fellow forum member but it is true.

Also, another issue is the fact that I can justify wearing one 15400 but not three!

I dont even mention the other brands (rep and few gens) I own.

Ok not too many people knew our brands, and the most they know maybe are Rolex, Tag Heuer or Breitling but still this many watch is very hard to justify both price/affording them wise and just quantity wise :)

Keep the silver. It's the hottest (to me)! Haha. I just wish they would make a great rep of the RO chrono.

+1 that is def longtime coming!!!! Instant hit!

They need to come up with a new movement
in order to squeeze it in RO chrono case.

There is rumor about factiries working on it but probably it's just a stupid rumor.

Hello everyone,

I've always shied away from the more dressy 15400 - then a few weeks ago I decided that I may like that (after seeing the 33mm quartz version) and just got a JF "v2" black dial timepiece.

I was quite disappointed to be honest - hope this is just me and simply an isolated case of bad luck but the quality does not live up to the usual JF hype - first, the dial seems to have the more rounded tapisserie squares (was that not v1 thing?!); secondly, the fitting of the bracelet to the case is simply said very poor - the plot is probably 1/4 or even 1/3 of a mm sunken below the midcase line which is absolutely ludicrous if that case made it past the usually OK QC process.

So while I'll deal with those shortcomings on my own, I just thought I'd give the heads up to those considering a 15400 purchase:

@Tigerdragon - dial is very disappointing indeed
@MBvHoven - yes, it's indeed a matter of luck; but my feeling is that JF's QC processes have been going in a downward direction lately

Post QC pics you got from TD.
I didn't get any QC as I got it off someone on the forum, who was sent not very high res QC photos but was assured those few items in the batch he bought were all v2. So it may be a foul play by the TD, yet fact remains that this item should not have slipped through factory's QC. Anyways, after such a long period of v2 availability it's a warning that v1 are still circulating

Officially there is no such thing as a V2. And the black tapissery was updated at a later stage (compared to the blue version). As the logo on your dial is V2, it's not so strange it was originally sold as a "V2"...

The firsr batches have the old dial with the new Logo in it but that was only for 2-3 weeks.

Officially I don't think there is anything that reads JF and is officially registered on the stock exchange :)

When the dealers say latest V2, that should be that. No need to employ investigative journalism skills, but hey that's part of the hobby

@Tigerdragon - thanks for the clarification, Sir, I'm really lost with those black dial versions. Only thing I know is that my black dial is actually grey - should I be happy as I have the latest 2017 SIHH release already in my hands :)

Also new compared to my v2 blue one, engravings on bracelet

Plus the link screws are different (so I can't figure out how to adjust the bracelet. [emoji848])

They are better looking though...
