Careful with x2AR on this watch. Firstly, it will make the shitty print more obvious and secondly the missing crystal look doesn't suit this watch IMO. The stock crystal is amazing and reflects just the right amount of light to compliment the blingy bracelet.

Yea i know - but i ordered this watch for a friend direct from prof before. I love how it looks with the 2xar. I know the stock crystals are really good as is, but something about how the dial pops without it makes me really like it. Also i may be putting this on a custom croc/gator strap so the bracelet may be short term.

I know stock JF crystal is closer like gen reflection, but the 2xAR just blows it away. The only set back is if people is able to read out the watch based on the 2xAR crystal. But from what I have tested with gen collectors. They couldnt tell, im just more concern on the dial since it rounder than gen and waffle pattern sit higher.

Apart from that its a really good watch.

Anyone here can comment 15400OR colour vs gen? Thinking of getting one soon.

Been using 2XAR for a couple of years, no issue so far. Dont knock your watches around, treat them like gen and they will remain pristine.

I have a 15400 with 2XAR crystal coming in the mail soon and I've heard some users say it was more fragile in terms of scratches so I was a little worried.

Does the coating even fade or deteriorate over time?

You guys must understand how that all in China works they are no "versions" they only made that up for us. One of the admins here wrote that too a long time ago. They order different parts from different factorys and put them together and thats it. So when supplier one gets out of part they go to supplier two. Thats why sometimes watches have mixed up parts.

I talked with a friend who lives in asia and he always laugh when i say noob v7 or JF v2.

I had one time saw here in the forum a sale with a watch bought in Dubai with perfect minute markers and 1:1 like the JF dial but in a completly wrong case. How can that happen? Simple he uses the same supplier like JF does.

Figured i would post this here as well - as my WTB post isnt getting much attention, might as well go right to the source. Does anyone have a spare JF leather strap i can buy? I need to send it to Jacob to use the inserts of the strap. Please PM me if you have one, or just reply in my WTB ad.

too bad, just wanted to make the jump on an updated "V2" 15400. Especially the grey boutique dial would have been nice but then I found out that the printing process of the minute markers, "swiss made", and other dial lettering are not good on the newer models and the by far worst flaw and most easy tell on the grey version is the black date wheel.

So the waiting continues...

Also fading minute markers also point to v2. V2 blues dial is highly texturized so minute mark won't be sharp.

AP itself changed gens from skinny to fat logo (or vice versa). Dunno whether both had the dial visible or not. Current site shows the dial is visible.

Dial is not supposed to be visible on a 15400. I am not aware of any classic AP model that has an open space between A and P. Perhaps some offshores or Chronos...

At my local AD, the logos are fat! And no space. Thats what JF apparently copied for v2.

On the site though, they still have skinny, see-through logos, ala v1. Example see third pic:

The thin one seems more elegant, to me. Wonder why AP went the fatter way.

Interestingly, their corporate logo on the site top is both fat and with space in between So, v1.5
