is the white a v1 and the blue a v2? Logo looks different. also datefont looks completely different.

a new black one in comparison would be very interesting, especially if dial is painted or anoxi

JF 15400,the "new" batch.

Just saw a blue 15400 whilst travelling on the tube. Assumed it was a replica due to how datk the dial looked (and of course judging the owner). Couldn't get a closer look, but it looked chunky as well

finally got to see my own version this evening:

Looks great mate!!
Congrats on the Blue and the "crappy" white one. Now send the white one to me so I can get rid of it for you. [emoji12]
Enjoy both in good health. Would love to see some day light shots of both next to each other.

Thanks mate. I will try and take some better pictures tomorrow, daylight permitting

the fat logo is definitely something that stands out.

I swear the color of this blue JF 15400 second batch/v2 (whatever) is different than some of other second batch/v2 15400 Jf
This one feels like TF version blue (which I rejected andwent on a quest to find the first batch)
Then, I have seen some second batch blues, which are darker and fantastic looking.
Now I am confused.
And I dont think it is the indoor light or something. (I have seen so called batch 2 of AP 15400 JF under indoor light and looks nothing like this one)

For example, slaughterer62's AP 15400 Blue second batch on pages 12 and 15 looks nothing like this one in terms of the shade of the blue.
This one looks like greenish blue, slaughterer62's blue is darker

I think it's the lighting of this pic. Please note that stainless steel looks brown'ish almost rose gold. I think in natural light dial will look more blue and less green.

Yes, good observation. I even checked my 15400 blue this morning after seeing gasher's photo. I think they are the same dial, just different lighting conditions. I can get that refraction that you see on gashers' dial as well, but not often. Overall, yes, JF V2 is less green than TF dial.

Hi guys, I've been repeatedly going all the AP 15400 reviews here on RWI and I haven't really seen any discussion on how the blue dial is close to the gen.

I have had an a 15400 BP version, KW and JF V1. The closest that came or is quite gen like in terms of the dial color was KW.

The JF V1 and V2 are way too dark in its hue. I hope JF can get KW's blue dial.

Here's an actual photo of the blue dial version on my wrist taken at an AP boutique. You will see how far off is the JF version's blue dial.

I retract my original argument, it is the light conditions
Thanks for clearing that up :)

But when I see the picture of the gen, I started to think whether I should change mine to black or white.
Especially black with new batch looks very very nice
but white squares on the second batch seems to be larger, what do you guys think ?

Newest v2 blue dial compared with my gen hulk. Really comparable in terms of finish, quality and comfort. Pretty incredible with the $8k price difference.

But look at the shade of the blue on the second picture, it is very similar to the color of the gen on this photo.

The lighting really plays a huge role in bringing the effect of the blue dial. Say, if you place the JF blue dial version beside a gen blue dial in the same lighting, the difference will really surface. Trust me, I've done this in the past that's why I sold my JF blue dial because it would get called out easily.

To be on the safer side of things, I suggest one would stay away from the blue dial for now. Maybe they'll come up with a V3 or so. Black or white would really be a safe choice for now [emoji6]

Anyone care to post their second batch (new tapisserie squared and logo) AP 15400 JFs with black and white dial ?
[MENTION=126774]micomp3[/MENTION]
I agree with you % 100 mate.
But I have a diver v7 on the way thus I hesitate about the black JF 15400.
I sold mine TF White dial so I am pretty much done with it and those square distances bothers me with the white dial most (but I cant tell anything about the new batch white dial)

The thing is even though I dont wish to be called out, what I like about the blue dial is the color and even more than the gen sometimes.
I mean if someone asks I would say it is not gen but you dont really come across someone who has a gen blue dial, not even gen AP 15400, they dont even know the brand.
The ones who are interested unfortunately for them knows most of the time only Rolex, Breitling, Hublot etc..

And from a distance, blue dial looks darker.

I am torn again, damn it :)

That's true about the blue dial that you'd really rarely cross paths with anyone who has it or clearly remembers the correct hue of the dial when they see yours. And yes, the JF blue dial is too deep in its hue when the sun hits it. Kudos to your V7 diver though! [emoji1417]
