Inspired to mod by everyone on the RWI forum

After browsing this site for 6 months and purchasing a great BPSD from Sead you guys have inspired me to start modding my rep. Although I love my BPSD I am starting by replacing the bracelet with one from the fantastic TC (on a side note TC is in the process of making the perfect bezel insert with a sapphire dome covering the pearl, a true gen spec bezel insert, so if we can help him out in funding this obsession by purchasing his other parts we will all benefit in the end. Further on down the line when funds become more available I hope to add a gen crown, gen crystal glass, gen bezel, TC hands and hopefully a gen dial if I can find one at a decent price.
I will try and keep you updated as I go with pics.
I know nothing myself about modding the watch so if someone can suggest who they have used to mod their own rep I would appreciate it.

where do you see information that TC is working on changing the pearl again? I haven't seen anything on it. On his site he wrote about it over a year ago, but that he had finally perfected it. I have one and it is certainly gen like. Not just the pearl, but the whole insert IMO.

I just bought a bracelet from him for my SD and he told me that's what he's working on, but he needs extra funds, so he still has those Sub parts to sell if anyone can take them off his hands.

is TCs bracelet that much better?
i thought about ordering a clasp bc the one on my 16610 is kinda beat but the rest of the bracelet is fine.
just wondered if they were better made or had more weight to them or something.
the rep (noob) 16610 bracelet isnt bad. the end links fit pretty well. not sure if its worth replacing.

tried to order a insert from him a few weeks ago but never heard back from him so i ended up just going with a ebay one.
not really bad honestly for $12 bucks.

have fun modding.
ive only tinkered here and there but i have a 1680 on the way that should be quite the project.
itll be my first major mod piece. (CGs, lume, Age..etc).

i honestly dont see anything wrong with the SD you have as is.
are TC hands different or something?

I don't know about TC hands being that much better than the BP ones as I haven't seen them up close yet but according to every review on here others seem to think so. The BP bracelet is pretty good but the end links are not correctly shaped like a gen. The TC also feels so much better made, something you will notice if you handle one. I will post some photos later showing the BP and TC bracelets side by side. To be honest it is very good as is but I will feel better when I add a few gen parts to it. The only flaw I can really notice is the insert marking at 3 o'clock is very slightly off, not exactly 45 degrees from 12 o'clock, but that is being really picky.

Trust me,,, after you really know what your looking at, there is no comparison between TC hands and bracelets and anything else other then gen....and inserts look alike until you really understand the depth of how particular most all long time members are...lol
Oh and btw good luck OP with your modding attempt...just remember take nothing for granted and make all of your moves deliberate and plan well...you'll be fine....
